Its almost a case of giving this weekend away if we are too banged up in order to make sure we get the win against Claremont the following week where Banfield and Doc should also be right. At this stage I can see best case being 4-5 after round 10 with a huge home game against the Eagles in round 11 to get the ledger back even.
I wouldn't write the guys off this weekend Mad Dog. I remember a couple of years ago ( 2013 I think), Swans were subjected to an insane piece of fixturing in that they had to play Peel in Mandurah on the Sunday which they lost and then had to front up 4 days later in an ANZAC clash against West Perth at Joondalup on the Thursday. The result was a gutsy win. There is a lot of character in this group. I would think they would only be training lightly this week
As I posted on another thread we had something in the order of 7 players with fewer than 20 league games; so whilst it would have been infinitely better to have won the game it is reasonable to expect that they would have garnered a great deal of experience from what happened on Monday.
What we need is for a big crowd on Saturday at Basso supporting the boys and it would be fair to suggest that of those at the game at least 90% will be Swans' supporters.
