It’s ok to say the things that please people just after they’re elected, but actually doing them is another thing.  His main problem will be remembering what day it is and what he said yesterday.  Labor will have to ditch him, but will they after their last showing while in power.  I think the Libs will have to get rid of Dutton,…not a particularly popular politician.

Very rocky economic road ahead, but as usual Labors priorties are already going off track, making a point of a diverse cabinet singing its praises about having women muslims et al than ever before rather than picking best for the job, I have next to zero faith in most of them, Wong is bloody useless, Chalmers is on trainer wheels and came out with the tired old the books are worse than we expected, Linda Burney will be pushing Indigenous from the heart constitutional change which will get voters off side, while the economy tanks, everytime you see them sow they stand in front of the aboriginal flag and TI flag rather than the aussie flag , what are we one country or three?

They ran a small target campaign , keeping everything as a toxic surprise until they get into power, expect tax hits, all the stuff they ditched will be back - franking credits, negative gearing cuts to piss people off.

With rising cost of living, interest rates rising and labor wanting to blow the budget out even more on fantasy projects , it won't take much for albo and labor to start tanking and be vulnerable in 3 years.

Crikey Bazza that’s a pretty grim outlook and complete lack of faith. So the LNP treasurer never rolled out the the tired old line about the book’s inherited from the previous Labor government? And their treasurer wasn’t on trainer wheels?

I’d take a different view that being 9 years in opposition has them well prepared to govern. Let’s hope Chalmers can get off the trainer wheels pretty soon so he can find a way to pay off the billions handed out to big business and private schools who thrived rather than suffered losses during the pandemic but raked in millions in Jobkeeper regardless, that former treasurer Josh Frydenburg hailed a raging success. It was a success for those that neeeded it but thousands of businesses and individuals slipped through the cracks and got no help at all.

Let’s hope lifting minimum wages is enough to make a difference to the lives of those suffering from rising utility prices, rents and rising costs to put a meal on the table. Let’s hope over time I see less people living on the streets and begging at traffic light intersections which is growing by the day.

Let’s hope Labor can thaw the frosty relationship with China and repair the damage and fix trade relations between the two countries and ease tensions in the indo pacific. Let’s hope having more women in government and more Aboriginal representation can satisfy those saying they are not fairly represented. Isn’t that what politicians are meant to do, represent the voters?

Let’s give them a go is what I say.

100% correct as I stated I have a complete lack of faith in this bunch of lefties  - It's a grim outlook for pretty good reason , I didn't day Chalmers was the first one to come out with that line but for on the contrary its a tired well worn line that no nobody buys anymore (maybe you), 9 years in opposition doesn't prepare you for much apart from maybe 9 more.

I'm not to sure what you want repair wise with China, sounds like you want a roll over, NZ are in their pockets and big teeth just got scolded for visiting the US. For all their attempts to damage trade it never amounted to much Iron and LNG prices boomed and we still raked it in, all the other commodities like Grain are in high demand so no issue there.

Yep representing people is important not just pushing minority issues they don't want.

Anyone else notice how the once super start Tanya Pilbersek appears to have been pushed aside.

The Honeymoon is definitely over for Albo, with interest rates really pumping up now and people starting to hurt with more economic pain to come, he better get home from his Indo jaunt and focus on local issues.

Nothing to see here just business as usual. RBA just doing their job they are supposed to do and if anyone said to you 10 years ago, even 5 years ago we would have a cash rate of just 0.85% they would have laughed at you.

And on the flip side retiree’s are now being offered 2.5% on fixed term deposits, something that hasn’t been seen in a long while and that will now increase further with the cash rate rise. Albo is out doing what any good leader would and building foreign relations and on the surface it looks like he is being received quite well. You sound like an opposition Bazza.

And no doubt you'll be taking advantage of the rental crisis and inflicting more pain on your tenants.

As the Fin Review accurately reported today RBA is already getting nervous about Albo Labor and the Unions starting a wage inflationary spiral - which is definitely on the cards as they have already singled, get ready for the economy to run of the tracks big time.

The way to tackle inflation is not to give people more money and increase spending thereby upping demand on goods and services. Increasing wages above CPI will only see the RBA using its primary monetary policy lever of further interest rate rises to slow spending down. That's the last thing WA needs with the highest inflation rate in the country already.

So what would you say to those on the basic wage BC if you were standing before them already struggling to pay the bills and put food in their mouths even before a 5% wage increase in line with current inflation rates? Suck it up princess? Thousands of those are parents with young children.
