DD that Malaysian candidate is Chinese/Malay and speaks 11 languages+ trains Dolphins.
On the Coal. There is no way it can end at the drop of a hat. There is thousands of jobs and billions of dollars involved+ the price of coal is at record historical highs.Without Russia's contribution.
China's dropped to our fourth biggest coal customer.Technally there not buying coal of us..India,Japan+ Eu  are now third. And where sending free coal to the Ukraine, there nuclear reactors are off why the Russians are there.

Mate...I think the Greens and Teals will demand a significant drop in coal exports in Labor's first term no matter the cost to jobs and the economy. Reducing our emissions won't mean much given we account for less than 1% of global pollution, but stopping sales of coal to big emitters will be high on the agenda.

I wouldn't want the job in front of Albo one little bit as he juggles a rabid cross bench with making sure the economy doesn't tank under his watch which is exactly what the Libs said would happen during the election.

Watch this space over the next couple of years because the Greens and Teals were elected on getting something done on climate change and they'll be judged on what they have achieved at the next election.

Labor will have a majority in the lower house, so the cross bench won't count from much down there, the senate is a very different story and some deals will be done, coal exporting won't end over night but what will are plans for new projects. Expect targets to be more ambitious.

Seems to be more talk on Aboriginal constitution recognition as a priority at the moment a lot more talk on that floating around, Linda Burney has been on the box every night banging on about it. Greens want a "Treaty" first but Labor want a referendum first - so that's the first road block. Greens also want a "Truth Telling" Commission worth $250 Million - whatever that heck that is.

Oouch just heard an interview with Greens leader Adam Bandt.Under his watch no new oil,gas or coal projects will be approved.
Browse upstream Torso+Calliance $15 Billion
Woodside -Scarboro $16.5 Billion
Pluto -Lng Train 2 $6 Billion
West East Gas Pipeline $4.6 Billion
Prelure Tocata Gas Field $4 Billion
Burrup Peninsula urea project $3.91 Billion
Tassie shill gas to methane plant$3 Billion.
Wow that's $52.5 Billion dollars of investment in the pipeline.

Gee. That's a worry GTR. With this lot running the show, we'll all be sitting under a tree rubbing sticks together to make a fire in no time.

Nice list GTR, even without a majority in the lower house, the Libs and nats will side with Lab if Lab want these projects to go ahead. Labour are suppose to be for the working man and woman, so if they dont support these big job producing projects they will be up against the unions bigtime. These fairies at the bottom of the garden Greenies are so far out of touch and up their own rear ends it's mind boggling. They think they have a mandate due to an increased share of the vote but over 80% of voters didn't vote for them.

Mate, a lot of those projects have already been approved and Pluto II has already started, the Peardman Urea plant is pretty much done as well approval wise, Greens won't be able to stop them.

In any case most of the approvals are State based, off shore Federally the Greens would not have the numbers to block much in the senate with ALP and LNP getting stuff through,

The Northern Development fund is Federally based the WA is using that a fair bit to back the projects up with new roads, infrastructure link ups etc, Labor will control that.

Most of the Greens talk is about development and opening of new Gas Fields and Coal Mines, rather than stuff already up and running.

I see the Greens already in a spat today over a Labor boat turn-back.
