Yes well we all saw that coming. God debut from DBW?

Now for a few real gripes.
1. The Bar On The Hill was closed today because no-one could be found to man it. This is not good enough. There were a few of us in our group who would have volunteered but it was too late to open it.
The club has enough problems without squandering opportunities o revenue raising.
The crowd was down so the Demon Den was sparsley occupied and at one stage the Redlegs Bar upstairs had only about 6 patrons.
2. There was a slight fracas at The Wall below the Presidents lounge today. Nothing serious but could have got out of hand. There are PFC members who have been asking for a long time for this area to be cordoned off, signed "PFC Members Only" and the area policed. At most other grounds PFC members are not welcomed into members' areas so why at Lathlain are visiting supporters of other clubs allowed to take over our members' areas ?
Our President has been made aware of the situation and has now given an assurance that something will be done about it.

3. I would like to know what medical, physio and trainer staff we have. Is it adequate?
I believe that at a recent recovery session there were no coaches present and my informant could not confirm whether or not any of the medical staff were present. If that is the case then that explains why so many players are on the injured list. Are they getting the correct assistance in recovery to ensure they are ready to play with every liklehood that they will not miss more games than necessary.
It also raises the question...how many players declare themselves unfit to play when they should toughen up and get back on the park where they are needed.??

DF, I think you are right. There is a culture problem within the club and a very lax attitude to discipline and common sense thinking.
All IMHO and with respect.

Coming into every game the opposition is faster, fitter, more experienced and bigger. We cant do much about that, except try to be smarter. Why are we playing afl style football without AFL footballers??????? With such a undersized and inexperineced team we need to play acordingly. Flood back from the first bounce if we have to. Keep 1 forward one out in the forward 50 if we have to. FFS do something different because we cant match them with this modern day football.

Boy oh boy that back line is so far off it would take 10 men. Mind you sinkers is worth 4. There is no way we can hold off any half way decent team with such an undersized and under skilled defence. Looks bit better when Leggett goes down there but we need the poor bugger everywhere.

I continue to give them all points for never giving up. Just hope spirit hangs in there til we get troops back and run into weaker teams.
Btw how in the name of all that is holy did we lose to ef.

And the reserves win by 60 plus points also suggests we are not selecting the best possible team.. for example Marlin Lennon seems to be in great form and we desperately need a back man and someone that can move forward and kick goals.. He would have been a perfect inclusion today. Also What else does Joey Ugle have to do to get a game? Again a classy young forward that can play midfield for a spell should have had a game over a few others.

STT: you lost to Old Easts only because you did not kick straight for goal from memory.

Gotta say that sounds on the money PD. There are few getting games at moment who haven't earned them, they really do stand out not sure what selectors up to.

And smoke please tell me your joking about the bar on the hill? That would be up there with forgetting to put your pants on!

Yep maybe we did Ark but on assumption ef fans don't read our site you should be able to beat ef by kicking only points.

The colts are currently second on the league ladder and the ressies on top and playing a good brand of footy. Ugle didn’t play in the seconds today however Michael Bennell did and looks a very likely type, kicked 4 majors and could have had a couple more. If they are looking to run Ninyette thru the midfield a bit Bennell would be a good option to play up forward.

Last year we made some really solid starts to games before fading out, but it gave you some hope improvement was on the way. Granted we have our fair share of injuries but even so today’s effort was below average. Strijk had 24 possessions playing in the forward line which just shows how weak our backline is, certainly gave Taylor the runaround. Giobbi is definitely not a backman and Giblett is a liability. Nicholas showed a bit but let himself down with some poor kicking. Levien looked like he could be a steady player when he debuted but seems to have gone backwards.
Apart from Leggett and Byrne, Bourne tried really hard and is worth persisting with. The you ruckmen tried hard too but needs to work on his overhead marking.
6 -15 tells you are accuracy wasn’t good, Dennis and Yeo missed relatively easy shots early in the game which could have kept us in semi touch of WP. Salomone had a few chances and took them.
A 3 week break now so hopefully we’ll get a few back from injury, god knows we need them.

Doubt anyone could improve on that analysis Wburner.
