Terrific effort first up with some patches of excellent attacking and defensive play, just need to build on the consistency levels!
Really like the look of Chaplin, looks a very versatile type and if he can get his kicking radar on track could be a real threat to opposition sides. Edwards had some nice moments and looks a reliable kick on goal if we can get it to him more often.

Aaron Clarke was off the ground for extended periods with what looked like an ankle issue, looked more than capable of taking a grab when he was on and could be a very handy foil for Stubbs when he returns.

Byrnes looked liked he relished having more class in the midfield around him and was useful in winning clearance.

Jye Clarke looks like he has a minor hammy and sat out the 2nd half so looks like at least one change for next week.

One day Austin Davis is going to get his complete game to click, it wasn't his kicking so much yesterday that let him down but spilt two uncontested defensive marks and a few fumbles which hurt. Brogan-Henry also had a few costly fumbles, hopefully will eliminate in next few weeks.

We coughed up 4 relatively easy goals included 2 painful 50m penalties so need to work on that aspect, some of the backline work was first class.

Look forward to grabbing another 4 points next Sat as well and truly due to start clocking up a string of wins against WP!

Tough on who to choose to come in for Jye Clarke.
Manzone (29 disposals)
Phillips (18 disposals)
Newick (2.2)
Haywood (3.2)
Gray (31 disposals)
Hine-Bason (quite day out)

Trust Aaron Clarke's ankle ok.

Agree Chaplin would be now more favoured than AJ.
I thought Aussie was superb.

My question mark is on Bodle - fumbled a lot - but did kick a lovely goal from 50 and set him self up for another one or two that he probably should have kicked. Probably worth backing him for a bit.

I actually didn't think Constable did a hell of a lot when I was watching live - but on replay he's centre clearance work is similar to Fyfe - dishes it our beautifully and his little gives around the ground are timed to perfection.

Love Hills run and carry. All the back line were very good.

Hope Cary does a bit better soon. Q will be looking at his spot or Bodle's.

Won't be easy for Stubbs to break in - assuming we are injury free.

A Saturday game - Thought it was on Friday night?
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Been led to believe four matches in week 2 are Saturday games.  And the Subiaco game on Sunday.

Having watched the replay My Free kick count - Subi 20 & The Mighty Demons 19.  IMO a few were missed mostly due to Perth.  Two 50 metres to Subi to the top of the sqaure - one given to Perth in the backline.

I'd like to meet those who "record(?) the stata.

That's good crowd numbers for the opening round. Probably helped by the fact there was only 2 AFL games on that day and neither involved Fremantle or West Coast.

Having watched the replay I couldn’t see how Jacob Coniglio could have played a better game for us. He was everywhere. I thought Regan Clarke was very good too. These blokes should be freed up now to play their roles with bigger bodies coming into the side. I like I said in my first post Conner Sing probably had his best game also
