I expect most of those that played league against Peel on the weekend will be in the game 1 team.

Players under an injury cloud I doubt will be available for selection are Schlensog, Johnston, Ewing, Dellamarta, Wills. Stubbs fitness is probably not up to it because he didn't put in a full pre season, Nyika John the same and Quartermaine is unavailable due to suspension.

Saturday 4.10pm start.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Not good news on Jack Avery I hope that it will not be a long term injury.
Perhaps an opportunity opens for an ex-Colts player to emerge.....maybe Elijah Scoble or Cameron Hall

In a moonboot and on crutches at training last night so, as DG suggests, won’t be a quick return.

Yes Scoble & Hall have looked good so an early opportunity opens up.
So Schenslog will also be missing?
Great off season and wham straight up.
One of these years we'll get a run at it.

I’m slightly optimistic and looking forward to going to the footy on Saturday. Hoping for a competitive Perth and 4 points to start the season.

I can't see why anyone would be optimistic. We have no backline. You can't expect guys like Scoble to step up to a key defensive role so soon. Avery is arguably the best intercept/running defender in the WAFL and losing him for effectively the whole season is a disaster. He takes marks, he's fast and has a long kick. That can't be replaced. Johnson and Sog out for about 3 weeks. Apparently Ewing has gone down again, and Dellamarta for 5 weeks. It's 2021 all over again, we assemble a decent team on paper and get decimated by injury before the season has started. Very despondent.

I don't think the WAFL injury list is completely accurate Ted. Some of those players listed as injured is from last year. But I think Avery, Schlensog and Johnno are probably accurate.

Ewing has worn the pink shirt doing the running for the league during pre season including on Saturday. He I believe is on track for about round 4. I spoke to Nyika John on Saturday he said he's fine just missed a lot of pre season. He had a quad this time last season.

Look at other clubs injury list. Inaccurate, a few of those listed have retired.

Avery is a massive loss and now it's vital there are no more mishaps with those recovering from injury.
