Gary Moss is gone. I reckon he showed some positive signs with a difficult, injury-riddled list. But it is the right move and the right time. Good luck to him. 

A new coach alone is not going to solve the problems. We need league quality recruits and a strong fitness program.

Totally agree. Another novice coach sacrificed on the alter of Demon mediocrity. Feel for the guy, never got a good run at it. But please, no more succession plans. They don’t work.

Great that there will not be another succession plan. As they should have done with the last appointment, the club will "go to the open market and undertake a thorough process to appoint the best available coach."
It is going to take a lot more than appointing a super coach. We are finally facing a complete re-build of the club from inside out.
Let's get it right. 
 

Apparently Steven Armstrong will finish the season.
Thought he was gone didn't seem to be around.
I made a similar comment some weeks ago.

Steven Armstrong can't communicate. 

Shields and board didn't spend any money to get anyone there nor get the stand done.

Have no confidence in this board. Who will choose the next coach? Who is on the open market? Can’t think of a candidate unless Wardman is moved on. Subi so will get German if he’s available. Harris? Might have a point to prove. Sumich? Doesn’t inspire confidence from the outside, but I can’t say more than that, and he’s been around for a while and nobody’s knocked down his door, including Claremont. 
We need to get recruitment right. Recruitment should have been happening already, of course. 
Succession plans do work - Goodwin, Longmire - but not always.

Of those three, I'm taking Fat Cat. 

Needs to be an experienced coach. This club just destroys novice coaches.

Subi won't get German they have just re-signed Wardman.
I thought I saw somewhere where German said he wouldn't go back to Subi.

Don't agree. That's the time to start the conversation. Makes it hard when you haven't got a coach though. I know of another WAFL club that has its networks here and in the ES working all year. And they haven't missed with ES recruits as a result, even trying to pinch one of ours (who never eventuated anyway).

How about starting with a conversation with old boys exiting the AFL like Dean Kent and Matt Parker.
