This club is stuck too much in the past and would rather talk about the glory days and rely on handouts than actually putting in the work to try be better. And I mean really putting in the work not just going at 60% and going well we tried.

All three grades only won 12 games combined all season with two of those teams coming second last and one coming in last. Yet you hear how everyone enjoyed themselves on Saturday night at the club. Is winning 12 games across all three grades really something that needs to be celebrated. Call me a miserable old prick and you can say that the players are allowed to let their hair down after a long season but to me it’s this acceptance of our own mediocrity by the club and members that is also part of the problem.
While in contrast the club that moved north to new growth areas has won I think 3 premierships since, is on track for a 4th and just won the Rodriguez Shield after finishing on top in all 3 grades. If that doesn't stand out and smack you in the face then nothing will. Hint hint.

Even if we moved grounds I don’t see how that would change anything.

No-one at the Club is capable of driving improvement.

Not to fkn Gosnels. Further south close to a train station smack in the middle of new growth. We would force the lazy WAFC to completely rip up the junior zone distribution and start again. It would mean we’d have to give up a few old junior districts to Swans and EF most likely but we’d be pinching a few off EF and SF, south should get a few they lost to Peel since they look like a permanent fixture in the alignment they should be forced to give up a fair chunk of their zones.

Your spot on there DD.You will lose South Perth and Belmont+Victoria Park. But in a decades time your player participation will most likely triple in your junior zones.
And will force the Wafc to rezone around the new ground recloation. After  all  it's about taking the game to new growth locations, like Peel and West Perth.

I follow the PFC not the Armadale FC. Not having a bar of it - Soz DD

Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Peel is not a good example of taking the game to the people. Its just a vehicle for playing a stack of  surplus  AFL players at the moment.

Also I would have thought the original club to take the game to new locations was Swan Districts back in 1934 (all the other 7 WAFL clubs were on the Perth to Fremantle train line).
With the proposed new metro zone boundary changes a fat lot of good it has done us with all the suburbs around the original frontier club being given to our opposition who are based 20km away by the useless WAFC!

Whilst Peel are aligned to Freo, and receive the monetary/playing perks of their alignment, they really should lose most of their zones. Allowing SF to push into some of  their zones, EF push into some of SF zones and Perth pushing into EF zones.....just a gradual push south of the river with those zones.

I hear what you're saying Freez but Peel have a colts side and those young guys have to come from somewhere.
