Mind you having every budgies and dorkers games live on TV from the get go has worked perfectly for those particular theatre goers!

So I’m a “flog” because I support an afl team? Were you one of the people on this forum that criticised others because they changed their alliance from a Vic club to the Eagles or Dockers?
Another one sees theirself sitting up in the lofty cloud.

I shall repeat just for you if you walked away from your WAFL club and the WAFL overnight back in 87 or 95 then you are not a true WAFL fan!

To be fair to 58shark though BH he does appear to still have a strong affiliation with his WAFL team judging by his comments and I think it is possible for some people to support a WAFL and AFL team simultaneously with the same passion. I think the issue is that the WAFL is no longer a high profile competition in the state and therefore unable to capture the younger audience who gravitate towards the AFL. As Singha said when we were at school everybody had their own WAFL jumper.

If we take what BH said at face value then I agree with him 100%. For those supporters who walked away completely from the WAFL and never to return to follow an AFL club then they never were and never will be true WAFL fans and I know a lot of them even my own relatives. To those like 58 who follow both, then good on them...I have no problems with that as I keep an eye on Freo as well.

Need to ask why the SANFL post Crows/Port experience is so different to the WAFL post WCE/Freo experience. SANFL seem to have retained so many more supporters as can be seen by the numbers for their finals, regularly attracting 30k++ for their GF"s.

Maybe, just maybe it's the fact that the SA governing body actually cares about it's historic state comp whereas the WAFC dont give a rats, SA promote their comp, WA dont so no wonder punters have drifted away from the WAFL when there is very little about it in the media and the financial support to the teams that need it is a disgrace. The WAFC are just waiting for the comp to die on the vine so they can implement what their AFL masters want ... an u/23 comp purely to service the AFL beast.

And please dont twist this into an anti Subiaco thing, i support real across the board comp equalisation, something the SANFL has managed to accomplish post Centrals complete domination last decade.

Mike then if that is the case why has he taken offence to what I posted?
One thing virtually all of us have in common on this site is our love of the WAFL and our particular WAFL club I would have thought, although I do know of some that completely walked away to follow one of the 2 wa based franchises in the expanded vfl comp (and to me they are flogs for completely abandoning their local WAFL club).
I did repeat if you walked away from your WAFL club and the WAFL back then you are not a true WAFL supporter, if he hasnt then what is his actual problem or concern?

You (and StD) initially said a fair bit more than that, didn't you. And I can understand why 58 sparked up.

It is possible for supporters to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Well this is interesting isn't it.
I must be a real flog.
Because for many years I was an Eagles member.
And proud of it.

Here's the thing, as you all know the DEES who I support with passion, because they are the best football Club Australia has ever seen, :P
Well the DEES haven't exactly won a lot of games since well before the Eagles and 1987.
So I'm well and truly used to getting flogged.
And taking a lot of garbage shit from you lot.

Well this is thing, there are not a lot of Eagles home games I saw when the Eagles game clashed with the mighty Demons.

So there you have it.

Maybe I am a flog for putting up with mediocrity from the greatest football Club Australia has ever seen.

No other Club is worth it especially Subiaco.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!
