Not my fault mate, so I feel great.

We will be restricted in other ways anyway, won’t have money to recruit etc, any more than that you may as well shut the doors

Yes I agree it's not your fault but with so many small businesses and the WA taxpayer out of pocket as a result, you're of the view the club shouldn't be penalised further? I have a view and yes, the club will be restricted indirectly in so many ways but am interested in hearing from a supporter.

BC what exactly would you like to see happen?

It's my personal view that the club as an entity shouldn't be penalised as that's only going to affect players, sponsors, members and supporters who had nothing to do with this fiasco....and also other than not letting WP play finals or restrictions on recruiting what can the WAFC actually do? Not much point fining the club or similar as you're broke. I do think those responsible should be named, shamed and stopped from having any position at any footy club in Australia. The WAFC can do that I'd imagine under the guise of the AFL so I think the people who perpetrated this should be penalised including the ex CEO if he had a hand in it. That's my view but I guess there's others on here will want to go the jugular which is their right to express that opinion.

That would be good but it may mean they have to find another umpires controller again this and next year!

Board and Administrators responsible should be removed and not permitted to engage in future roles.
WAFC should run the club for at least 2 years.
A long term repayment plan should of been put in place to honour creditor commitments going forward, but it appears to late for this. They have walked away empty handed.
As a result other penalties should be applied to the club for bringing the comp into disrepute, penalty points or restricted salary cap.
As you say BC at this juncture in time the WAFC is limited in what it can do. Other than run another deeper investigation which is what Korda Mentha actually stated need to be done.

BC I do blame one person for this mainly due to letting it go to the point of no return, but I am not going to name this person for obvious reasons.

I don’t even know who is running the club at the moment, they are appointing a 4 man board and one of them a high profile media person... Paul Murray’ maybe?
Agree with most you said

How much was owed to Venues West? That's how much you , me and other tax payers have been duded in this?
Can Venues West make that call that tax payers money just disappears into thin air?

if the WAFC dont impose a penalty on WP in regards to salary cap for a few years or a points deduction next year its an absolute joke.

MO,

Not going to happen mate, we have no money to pay any fine, recruit players to stretch our salary cap and we are miles below the points cap so do your best !
