I really just cannot understand why Governments keep recycling individuals who "resigned" under a cloud of controversy. It seems we never learn the public just won't buy it!
To quote the article in the West at the time........................."Western Australia's highest-paid public servant Neale Fong has resigned as the state's director-general of Health after a Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) inquiry found he engaged in serious misconduct.
The CCC tabled its report into Dr Fong's contact with former premier Brian Burke in Parliament today, recommending he face prosecution for disclosing restricted information to the lobbyist.
It is alleged Dr Fong breached the CCC Act by revealing a senior Health Department officer was being investigated by the Commission.
The offence carries a maximum three-year jail term or a $60,000 fine.
The report has also found Dr Fong engaged in misconduct when he told Health Minister Jim McGinty he had no recollection of any email communication with Mr Burke.
The CCC has revealed extensive records of 33 emails and numerous telephone conversations between the pair.
Dr Fong says he is confident he has not breached the CCC Act and denied Mr Burke had ever received any benefit from their relationship."

Oh dear, from bad to worse.

Fong is well connected and played for the Club. As chair of WAFC he supported the WAFL. Wont be hard to improve on the track record of the current president.

If this is the case i think Neal Fong will be a good President. He should have a better then most understanding of footy in WA and surely has some skills at running organisations. He did run the health department.
