If you've got proof Subi is rorting the system or making off the book payments to players then let's see it. If not, then you're just another one of the many jealous Subi-phobes on here who point the finger without a scintilla of evidence....just one of the herd who follows the rest blindly. You should be proud of your club as it's a terrific traditional WAFL outfit that for many years was successful and produced great players...like just about every other WAFL club over time. All supporters should be proud of their club even me. Would I like to see the natural ebb and flow of success where all clubs get a crack at a flag every few years? Of course I would but I'm not going to be embarrassed by the current situation because a few posters on here can't get their head around the fact my club has raised the bar by whatever means is at it's disposal. Until definitive proof is shown that my club has cheated and continues to do so then I'll defend it to the end.

I have made this point before on this site but people need to be very careful what they say on forums like these. Making unsubstantated claims of potentially unlawful or corrupt behaviour on a public forum can lead to people facing court action. This has precendent in that participants of online forums have been persued for damages by individuals or groups who are aggrevieved about specific allegations which are not backed up by hard evidence. Even though it is unlikely to happen on a forum like this, it is still a possiblity and I would not like to see a poster on this site ( and potentially the moderator as well) exposed to this risk.

That's a very salient point Mike. We all have opinions on various WAFL related issues and sites like this are perfect places to put them out there but at the same time, we should all be careful on how we express them. It's all very well to give a view based what is on the public record but making allegations of cheating or dishonesty without proof to back it up is something else. I agree there are some on here who sail very close to the wind in relation to my club and whilst I would never do anything to expose them to further action, this is a public forum and who knows who else reads these things? I'm pretty certain a couple of journos come on from time to time so it wouldn't take much to piss someone off with unsubstantiated allegations.

BC you may like to inform us how a Club can turnover over $4M a year, spend much the same as other Clubs on football operations and come up with what could only be described as modest profits.

How do you know how much Subi spends in its football department? Is Spalding employed full-time by Perth? Schofield is full time at Subi and I guess he gets paid. The club submits its P&L and Balance Sheet just like everyone else to the WAFC..so far nothing has come out of it. As of the end of the 2017 financial year the club had $3.8m in net assets including $3m in liquid assets such as cash and investments....that all had to come from somewhere. It's in the Annual Report so it's been through the books. A $4m turnover includes revenue from the AFL seats deal which was done at a loss the last couple of years....so turnover doesn't necessarily equate to net profit....it can also mean a net loss. The club posted $140k loss last year I think it was even with revenue from the seats at Subi.

May be your management isn't as good as people think lol.

Look at your lists of premiership players over the years including the last 2 years as runners up.
Tell me that they are playing for the love of the club.

As I said they lost money on the AFL game day seats deal the last couple of years. They were in direct competition with Freo and WCE and apparently even the two AFL clubs were struggling to sell packages due to the economic downturn. This year the club has attracted around 20 new sponsors and partners of varying sizes since the start of 2018 and has brought on board the same mob your club uses to generate sponsorship and donations...Australian Sporting Foundation I think it is or similar....so my club is not doing anything out of the ordinary now the seats deal has finished. I agree having $3m in current assets in the bank is a good starting point but at least they're not sitting on their hands like some others in the press recently.

BC you must feel like Custer did with all those circlin whingin injuns mate....you shouldn't be worried about defending your club to anyone mate....you have no control what the powers to be do at Subi on and off the footy field.....all the SFC are doing are providing their members, fans and sponsors with a successful footy club.....one every other fan in the WAFL wants.....as you say show me the proof of rorting and I will stick my hand up and concede my club has done wrong....until then they ain't anything to defend or say....

hahaha...yes Freez...it does get a bit tiresome getting trolled over the same crap. especially when all my other likeminded posters such as the seagulls have been banned. I long to have my old mate Po Cocko from FG days along side me in the trenches but alas it's not to be. He could give a bit of stick when he put his mind to it....but to quote Ben Cousins....such is life.
