They entered into contracts with players that they didn’t have funds to meet, there is a difference.

Do you know that for a fact as from what I can gather it was recurring debt not recorded in their accounts and described by a journo as "player payment irregularities"?

MO: was quite correct to say that, whatever is done about the debt, the club is yet to be punished.

My point is that the WAFC may have the power to kick out West Perth from the WAFL but I don't believe that they have the power to let a new club into the WAFL.

The WPFC hasn't needed opposition supporters here to cripple their club - they (via their elected and appointed officials) have managed to do that all by themselves.

Wake up, and smell the coffeee!

Swan 42: I undeerstand what you mean about if the Commission has the power to create another tam without the support of the majority of the clubs; however, changging the nature of Wp's licence does not involve the creation of a new club.

BC,

You are the biggest flog in the history of Ozfooty. You hover around the sites looking to pounce on anything that may take the attention away from your clubs disgraceful under the table dealings which has had a massive impact along with your major sponsors the WAFC in bringing this comp to its very knees. You and your mate Mat Ker have faark all mate, we went over the cap with a clerical error of $5k, wowee, its not $300k+ over per year like your shameful lot. I know categorically the un invoiced $$$ at WP was not related to any player payments, that was explained to me by a current board Member, it is clearly poor handling by the people we entrusted. Also don't ever bring up that you as a tax payer are bailing us out, you pricks at $ubi owe us big time as we have been paying for your salary breaches via the "tax payer seats" for over 20+ years :(

BC,

Like QBE who woke up after 20 years and smelled the coffee and will no longer sponsor $ubi because they have enough money, you pricks will not get any handouts.

Bazza wrote: Well the poor old tax payer of WA has been forced to wear a $200,000 loss courtesy of the WPFC, with the State Government agreeing to write it off, appalling set of circumstances.

Its now becoming apparent that other club officials are not happy with the WAFC handing over 250,00 to pay other suppliers meaning WPFC will avoid paying its legitimate debts while other clubs have honoured their. this sets a messy precedent, with clubs now expecting a sovereign guarantee for debts they incur, as Colin Rockman has stated other clubs have found away of honouring debts accept us.

Dont stress Bazza, I called ATO and the $200K has come from My and Falcons contribution to taxes over many years, no one else will have to pay a cent.

Rookie draft wrote: Grump - my comments regarding Barry’s nonsensical commentary in trying to pass blame for the financial situation at WP on to the supporters and members has absolutely nothing to do with Peel.

Your views on Peel and my views on Barry’s attack on WP members and supporters are two completely different issues.

If you want to air your grief disdain or whatever about Peel can I suggest you start another topic.

Do you actually have any clue how an incorporated association works? and the responsibly members have? Both in the election of directors and the financial structure.

Apart from legal issues, there is also a moral issue here, something as a supporter of Peel , not surprisingly you have no handle on in regards to scruples whatsoever given the diabolical way you have obtained your last two flags.

Barry your ignorance and arrogance is blinding your judgement. I know exactly how the club is set up and should function. Your problem is you think every member and supporter should be like you and be fully cognisant with the performance of the board and the financials. The reality which is something you are struggling with is a large portion of members at every club including your beloved SF are happy to pay their money, support their club and trust the board will do their role to the best of their ability. Some members don’t even read the annual report.

Judging my morals on the basis I’ve had an association with the Peel FC is further evidence of your ignorance and arrogance. Get off your high horse and pull your head in.

I’ll be at the game today, for your credibility’s sake all your members better be fully cognisant with SF current financial position.
