Well that's something...I suppose now the state government will also make a $200k gift to each of the other WAFL clubs as well.

Ok Bazza I am interested how you think this should of played out? You told me you don't want the Falcons to die so how would you of done this where they were still operational in 2019?

We have been overcharged rent for the last 20 odd years for that joint, about time they give us some back and make the rent more realistic for a WAFL club ffs.

Yep, SFFC are looking forward to their $200K cheque...

Sounds like there's some pretty pissed of presidents at the other clubs BC with the debt clearance WPFC are getting.

Sure

How it should of played out is this..

Your club is supposed to have a huge supporter base, wealthy donors et al, they should of been obliged to raise the money and pay the debts incurred by the club, other clubs have managed to do this, SF raised basically what you own many years ago given inflation would be a huger amount in comparison, Subi was very similar..

My reckoning is that if you are only offering 4 cents in the dollar , you have only raised in the vicinity of $31,000.00 , which quite frankly is embarrassing.

What obvious is that they didn't try to hard and the strategy is easy to see.

Thanks for your thoughts, I agree that there seems to of been little effort made to raise funds. I have no idea what they have raised to this point but it will be interesting to know. I am sure we will find out in time.

I'd heard they had raised around $200k up until recently and Zempilas said last night they had a fund raising lunch yesterday which tipped in another $30k. So I guess they're getting there slowly but surely but must admit I agree with Bazza on this one...they should be working harder to pull themselves out of the shit rather than taking the easy option and just walking away from the debt or having it partially cancelled by the state government.
