Interesting results, EF holding up amazingly well given their on field performance and their woeful facilities but need to factor in the derby, Souths supporters don't seem to travel well but love a home game, Swans are clearly the best travelers ... maybe they love the chance to get out of Bogundean? Subi numbers not bad considering that apparently we have no supporters, East Perth numbers are good considering they have lost so many members and supporters, Perth as you'd expect, West Perth are the big shock their numbers are very bad considering their big supporter base of past years, Claremont is to be expected after 3+ years with no home, they will get a big boost once their new facility opens mid year, Peel ... who cares!!

Pretty spot on SS, Your right about EF, overall they have fallen away over the years but are holding up in tough conditions, did well to turn up Anzac Day, but if things don't turn around could fall away badly, Don't forget South have not had many away games this year so far, we have a run coming up - that might explain the low figure there. Subi not bad at all, I actually think they are one of the few clubs to have increased on a base of recent times.
All the rest to be expected, but WP are the real shock, they have been vaporising for a while now, is it the Joondy factor? Is it time to come back to Leedy?

Not sure if this what you mean BH?

Cheers WAG yes that is the one.

A rather large discrepancy in the crowd figure listed here than the one that is now appearing on the WAFL site for the same game, ditto for the CL vs SU game on the same day...one wonders why that would be the case????

Not too sure SD or Perth have any rivalry either betwen themselves or any other club worthy of playing on a public holiday...considering tradtion is something most folks here want to preserve regarding the WAFL.....have either Perth or SD earnt the right for any public holiday footy viewing?.....no dont think so from a traditional perspective.......cant chop and change tradition can we boys?...or can we.. when it suits? ;)

Is that right Freeze...I seem to remember a SD vs PE game on Anzac Day in around 2008 that drew around 7000 at Basso which is more than double what your mob did this year....might be time to have the Traditional Eastern Derby as a stand alone fixture on all public holidays judging by the numbers through the turnstiles!

I guess u can't blame WP for taking it up Grassy....esp since those traditional Perth derby is tainted with WCE.....pity SD didn't think that 2008 match attendance v Perth was enough to work on....bit short sighted of SD....but hey money talks I guess....and some clubs do some unsavoury things when money is involved....some clubs more so than others history suggests...well recent history that is ;)

There is none , never has been, the whole concept is total recent invented BS, and everyone knows it.

I don't know how much longer the WAFL can rely on the Freo Derby attendances to boast the home and away attendances, take them out and its a shocker, they are only just still going due to its amazing historic legacy and local love of the tradition, but as the years go so will this tradition, what will the WAFL have left then ..Peel and the alignment rivalry ..lol
