The SANFL will become unbeatable at state games and dominate the 2 tier landscape.

Now we must fight to keep the colts played on the same day......the AFL/WAFC said they wanted kids playing in non-dewy conditions....so we can adapt...and we will...as long as our CEO's and Presidents don't undercut us

LaH it is good to be able to have a discussion with people that have differing views without resorting to personal insult and bile. Consider if you were a reserves' player: you are working your guts out to try to get a league game, not getting paid and then you are told that you are not very important and that you are going to have o play at 9.00 am? I would think that at the very least you would wonder why you would bother playing reserves.

No mate, I said alternate the ressies and colts between 11.00am and 4.30pm.....I don't think they care if they play before or after league...but yeah keep the boys together on match day I agree.

How many league games would be capable of playing a game starting at 4.30 pm during the winter months?

I have read the full report once and started on the second read. I don't think there is anything in there that actually helps the WAFL. As I have pointed out previously when I asked a director at Swans whether the company undertaking the review had spoken to Swans and the answer was NO. As a consequence I don't think there is any room for compromise.

If they thought that enough people would watch it and therefore enough advertising could be sold during the broadcast then CH7 would pay TV rights to the WAFL to broadcast it.

Not enough people watch it and not enough companies want to advertise during it there the WAFLhas to pay for it to be on.

Port Adelaide was the interesting alignment in SA - they were allowed to keep only either 6 or 8 senior SANFL based players , the rest were lost to other clubs & leagues
Russell Ebert one of PA legends & hall of famers condemned the move

Adelaide is mainly AFL 2nds bit of a mish mash in make-up but they were allowed to recruit some senior players - the name Callinan rings one bell from one read I had

If they thought that enough people would watch it and therefore enough advertising could be sold during the broadcast then CH7 would pay TV rights to the WAFL to broadcast it.

Not enough people watch it and not enough companies want to advertise during it there the WAFLhas to pay for it to be on.

That's correct, its doesn't have the marketing power to cover itself so its subsidised.
