Nope!

Typical negative crap, 50,000 folk watched Wafl on TV last week, that smashes anything the Abc could produce in their final years.

Have some vision, if we keep the ratings high , next time the deal comes around for renewal and ch 7 want it the clubs can squeeze more out of them for the rights.

What, are you a messenger boy for the Football Commission, are you Bazza?

Their Spin is,as always full of it.

1st v 2nd.

1400?

50 000 in the Ratings?Wow!Did that inspire even 5% to come down to the footy, the week after that? And the week after that?Judging by the attendance figures,I don't think so,Bazza!

A Ratings Success, that has John Townsend parroting that phrase,FFS! :woohoo:

Ground attendance are no longer a priority for any major comp, its all about the media deals and ratings, AFL NRL EPL make all their money on selling media rights, everyone in the business knows this, they give lip service to crowds but gate revenue is chicken feed compared to media deals.

WAFL clubs have more then compensated for drops at gate with the guaranted alignmemt cash payments each year, thats why virtually none of them have sounded any alarm bells re drops in crowds.

Catch up ffs.

Clubs wont moan till they lose money andvhits the bottom line, gates have have shit for years , the extra 100k plus more than makes up for it.

Oh really , 50k plus no good is it? Compared to what 9000 the abc pulled ?

Shit deal is it ? Well 50 plus viewing compared to a few thousand watching re runs of I dream of jennie gives sponsors a better deal.

Whats your solution ? Bugger all ideas....

No mention of WAFC selling the Granny. Just C7 demanding a new time slot for their own commercial purposes. Even then its still better for teams and the fans who want to go and watch to have the game Sunday
Sunday day GF going to more attractive than a shite weather Sat night for all concerned

Just giving you a point to consider Bazza, probably the strongest point is what Turner at EP said. One club has a 13 to 14 day break over the other. Also if it is easy to stay home and watch TV then the punter will on a Saturday night as opposed to going venturing out on a Sunny Sunday to watch live

Would make no difference to Subiaco in terms of attendance, lowest following in the league. WP v SF on a fine sunny day could generate a large crowd this year. IF PT, EP get through to face SFC in a GF kiss it all good bye

I realise it's getting a little off tack here.
Makes one wonder if this is all tied in with the television telecasting negotiations that will take place in the not too distant future?
The current Wafl telecaster only has the 3 year telecast deal which expires at the end of the 2017 season, as far as I'm aware. Hopefully another network steps in after that and starts showing a decent Wafl telecast.
