I know this is a football site and I don't expect comprehension to be at a high level but. If anyone can point out a quote from an EP official blaming the umpires for losing I will drop a carton to your door. Take a grip of yourself breathe deeply and read slower.

What is most concerning is the media publicity surrounding this issue, it is unprecedented. When has there ever been a public apology given to a club for what some with a certain barrow to push have seen as some wrong decisions. It is patently obvious that the powerful EPFC/WCEFC have brought pressure to bear onto the umpires which is imho totally unethical. Clubs are within their rights to make presentations to the umpires advisor with concerns they may have had around some decisions or interpretations, every club has done this on many occasions, but it has always been kept in-house and has always been the policy to not publically bag the umpires so that youngsters don't learn these negative attitudes. Why then has this particular club with particularly powerful connections been able to breach that accepted practice?

I would like to hear some calls into the Saturday morning ABC sportstalk programme asking for an explanation from the EPFC/WCE, the Umpires advisor and the WAFC. No doubt they will all suddenly disappear into their ivory towers feeling they are above explaining their actions.

Spot on SS, Sinclair released a statement (to all the umpires at least) that he said nothing of the nature and to ignore the comments made by Turner, a "please explain" has or will be issued to the Ferals.

Perhaps the comprehension problem is with yourself LB, why, for the first time in my footballing memory which goes back to the 60's has their been a public apology by the umpires advisor. Do you really believe that they would put their necks out there publically for the first time without some pressure being brought to bare?
It's an unfortunate precedent that's been established that all clubs can now feel the same right to force an apology for what they perceive as being hard done by the umps. Of course no WCEEPFC official will publically state that it affected the result, they would have too many high powered WCE funded PR people behind them to allow that to happen.

Mate if that is the case, you can expect this all to be brushed under that enormous lumpy carpet at WAFC headquarters. Imagine if it was one of the WAFL clubs that had done this!!

Two seperate issues here that must be kept as such. Has Turner got some mileage yes for sure. But and no stage has an EP official blamed the loss on umpiring. We know we had our backsides kicked good and proper.

The reporter on this story has never been what appears to me to be a signed sealed and delivered AFL butt kisser like some who report the game here in west and I suppose generally

With this in my mind ... even though I believe he has a soft spot/follows the EP club (No harm in that if you remain unbiased in your reports and he seems to have done this in the past, another e.g. is Commetti who I know actually follows the AFL Footscray-bulldogs, but you wouldn't guess it) I am wondering why some of this has been bought to light by him??
No .... we will never know the actual truths - But may I ponder the thought

Done to stir a huge pot??

This not to say that the apology wasn't sought and then given ... but this is a rather large outcome from a officiating body to give an apology for doing their job no matter how bad someone might perceive it to be...

Just a thought?

Larry never expect too much from a cardy's supporter and you will never be dissapointed.Dean stated it perfectly that lack of leaders on the field in Brendan Lee not playing and wullfy injured in the third quarter plus a alot of inexperienced players out there was the cause. If Anderson and Fraser had of been fit and played it could have been a different story.Lol when a west perth supporter mentioned that the Royals had acouple of players out but so did they.Doubt you could compere arguably two of the best in Lee and Anderson (state squad members) to what west perth had missing.
west perth did well to win but Hopefully next tume we play them we will have a team with Lee Anderson and Fraser

Correct if I am wrong LB are you suggesting that there was no complaint from "East Perth"; rather it was a completely unilateral mea culpa from the umpiring frsternity?
