I think the fact that there are so many passionate perth supporters ( still ) pretty much proves that flags arent important.

Dead right, the way souths finances are now , if they said you had a choice between a flag and a million in the bank,,I'd take the Mill in a flash.

Just goes to show how much you can save when not paying coaches or the majority of players...plus attract sponsors that want to be associated with the wet toast. Makes a nonsense of other clubs who survive by chook raffles etc.

A bit of jealousy.Apparantly had a $80,000 saving by having control of the bar.Profit built on savings as revenue was pretty static.

   Jeez, we've seen some crap on this site, but this is beaut. Bring back Le Victim

hear hear 58...savings where chaddy? player, support staff and coaching payments perhaps? with all those weagles listed players and their access to physios, surgeons, doctors, sports science gurus, strength and conditioning staff, player welfare advocates and so on.. EP would only need a first year nursing student to hand out aspirins and band aids for the local guys....oh, and other medicaments to a player who shall remain nameless for fear of a certain Claremont poster coming on and threatening legal action B) .

we didn't have to shell out for whitegoods like some clubs.

Sad state of affairs when us WAFL diehards are suggesting that the we should just be happy to participate in a compromised comp.

So why do we play a whole season for? If flags aren't important then there really isn't any need to play 20 games plus finals is there?

not a lot of $'s but a few k every year, taking over the bar and some of the food. Apparently the bar take went from 10K to near 100K.

How did the bar takings rise that much Grump?

First of all flags do matter !!!!!
That's why the Perth supporters are passionate, they're living in hope !!!!!!!!

What a frigging joke, proves how much money that West Coast are spending and still the assistance to Peel continues.
If only somehow the seven clubs could stand alone, unfortunately that is but a dream.

However, in a bad year for the Club, this makes the $112k profit of of the Perth Football Club even more credible.

Similar turnover to EP by the sound of it yet, the Perth Football Club pays for it's own players and coaching staff.

Unfortunately not as many coaches and they are not getting paid anywhere near as much. Just have a look at our assistants. Most of them probably don't get paid.

Any EP supporter who does not see this as a farce is blind or just bloody stupid.

Friggin bloody joke.

Well done PFC !!!!

No wonder PFC is amongst the most viable Clubs financially.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

No doubt that making a profit is important but I reckon if you surveyed majority of team sports, supporters whilst wanting both would predominately lean towards a premiership.

Bird's post is the absolute crux of why they are the AFL reserves side , the very reason they are known as the Corner whores of the WAFL
