Flags are largely irrelevant in my opinion and a good proportion of the members I speak with. Was very impressed with all the renovations at the club. The Gym and wet room with state of the art ice bath facilities certainly a fortune being spent.

I agree, financial stability is the priority, and lets face it the flags wil come sooner or later.

hear hear 58...savings where chaddy? player, support staff and coaching payments perhaps? with all those weagles listed players and their access to physios, surgeons, doctors, sports science gurus, strength and conditioning staff, player welfare advocates and so on.. EP would only need a first year nursing student to hand out aspirins and band aids for the local guys....oh, and other medicaments to a player who shall remain nameless for fear of a certain Claremont poster coming on and threatening legal action .

not a lot of $'s but a few k every year, taking over the bar and some of the food. Apparently the bar take went from 10K to near 100K.

true the flags may come sooner or later boys, but TBH, by the time EP, with all their WCE riches, actually win one, the comp will be so far irrelevant and compromised, that no true WAFL fan will even acknowledge EP or Peels success......it will be merely categorized as a flag for WCE or Freo....

but hey since Peel hasn't even won a flag and EP haven't won one on it's own since 78, I can see your point Larry about why winning flags being irrelevant......also can see why Perth want to jump aboard the WCE gravy train quick smart too.....oooops I mean the EPFC gravy train! .....

who paid for the updated facilities grump.....or aren't you guys allowed to use them?

All EP facilities how they are paid for is open to speculation. We receive too much advantage from the alignment to consider any premiership legitimate everyone knows that. It's a financial move hopefully short term. Astro will you be coming to some games next year.

Everyone knew this was going to happen , it's why the initial stance was NO to alliance / host club set ups
There would be two super clubs borne out of it & there is absolute certainty that Howson was promised riches out of his treachery
I have never had any doubt he was "bought" well before the initial discussions & Ditchburn not that long afterwards
Make no mistake Howson is an enemy of WAFL football and his own membership and deceitful in the highest form
