Dayle Garlett apparently being considered by Hawthorn with their pick 24 in the draft.

Fingers crossed he gets a chance

really think 42 will only be truly happy if Garlett actually stayed in the WAFL and manufactured a fantastic 150 + career playing at SD, kicking easy goals against crap sides like EF 58?

Nah, I guess he wouldn't. In this case he would be a strong supporter of 'restraint of trade'
Look forward to a response from the man himself!!

1. Arena Joondalup will host a NAB challenge match between the Eagles and Dockers in February. Should be a money spinner for the WPFC or the JCC and Venues west, once again they do the work and get shafted.

2. David Parkinson has resigned as President of Swans for personal reasons. Pity about that because I thought he was doing a pretty good job and is obviously a man of high integrity. A good man apparently and the replacement will be ......

3. What chances of Scott Watters coming back to the WAFL to coach Claremont? Would Tigers fans think he would be a good fit?

The query is that he may not be a rebuilding coach may need to takeover a winning team and be a finisher.

That is great news, its the second best option (the best option is he misses out and stays at SD) but being partial to the Hawks since a child I hope he ends up there

yeah true BH.....no doubt Dayles immeadiate family would agree with your boys thoughts  .....geez you SD guys are so insular it's freakin embarrassing.......

this kid more so than others it seems, needs his close family within close proximity to help him adjust with the level of exposure which is gonna come his way with an AFL contract.....no doubt you fellas care enough to pass the hat around at one of Swandogs next BHP piss ups at your local Steel Blue can shed, to pay for his family to move over east with Dayle?

No doubt realistically you boys are probably hoping by going east, he will be more vulnerable to self imploding and coming home...loving the subtlety of your work boys ;) .......fingers crossed the kid gets drafted to WCE or Freo.....good for the kid and more importantly to his immeadiate family.......and here's me thinking SDFC were a family club??

I don't think that's fair Freezin. Some might say, like Chris Yarran, that Dayle's best chance comes outside of his current environment and away from his current influences.

I'm not claiming to know the lad or what's best for him, are you?

Without knowing a great deal of his off-field pursuits, the fact he reportedly didn't show at a meeting with an AFL club combined with his lack of consistency in defensive aspects of his game this season, it doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence that he's really learnt his lesson. If he's still being unprofessional in his current environment, perhaps a move East is exactly what he needs.
