Would they look for an experienced WAFL assistant, a recently retired player with coaching aspirations or someone from outside WA. It will probably have to be someone with a player development focus given the turnover of players that the Tigers are having.

I have no idea so far. I imagine Adam Pickering may apply? As a smoky I think clay mclernon may be thrown in the deep end, Webb got the job after only 1 year as an assistant I think.

We all know ifs buts and maybes count for shit mate! Perhaps if Medhurst didn't play last year then The Sharks wouldn't currently be entering their 16th year of drought, who, knows?? They were tossing up whether to drop him..thankfully he played otherwise we may have seen an East Fremantle team win a flag they shouldn't have got the chance to play for after getting a nice ride from the maggots the week before ;) Like I said though, ifs, buts and maybes!! ;)

16th year of drought is it dog? Glad you're keeping tabs on it for us mate...methinks you may have a little love and care about the Sharkies  .
16 years....it a long, long drought...but hey, you'd know about that. You'd remember or have read about the humungous droughts the Swannies had between flags? Or don't you remember my 2 posts reminding you? Aaaahh...selective memory loss is a gift

Back to the topic, welcome back JMac, great to have you back. Now for Eardley.

Freezin wrote: fingers crossed the umps give SDFC an easier ride in 2014 Swandog

......TBH what would constitute an easier ride for SDFC in 2014 Swandog?......no frees given against any SD player within 50m of the oppositions goal.....all SD players 2nd to the ball or trailing their opponent by 20m or more get an automatic free kick......perhaps everytime SwanDog does his nut and spews out 2 successive expletives in a sentence, the umps will give Swandog the option of picking which SD player should get the free and where they should get it!!......

It is very simple Freezin. When an infringement that occurs to our forwards in our forward line we receive a free kick similar to the opposition player who gets a free kick for a similar offence in our backline. So simple.

Hildebrandt came for money and left when it dried up but we can't complain. He gave two great years of service and won a F&B. You can't expect to recruit guys with money and then expect loyalty.

Just to set the facts right, Hilda was getting more money at Subiaco than he
was paid at swans, his reason for leaving was the then coach of Subiaco!
I for one hopes he does come back and finishes his career at Subiaco.
footy department at Subiaco dont forget to keep in touch with the man!!!!

His best is behind him mate, was gone second half of the year, slow to get rid of the ball and turned it over far too regularly for a player of his ilk, and without the quality to support him back at Subi, he will be handy but no match winner. Had a good year with us last year and enjoyed his 2 years with us, but not devo that he is gone

How would you know what he was getting paid at swans?
