Signs of things to come.....thanks WCE/Dorks for taking away an even playing field.

That's a disgrace, reeks of west coast promoting east Perth as "their" side. There should be some sort of agreement where there is no promotion of east Perth or peel done by the respective afl clubs.

Is it really any surprise T.O.O as Nisbett & Stocks are well known as EP old boys!!

You wouldn't like them to promote a Claremont home game against EP if it brought extra people through the gate?

Gee I wonder why crowds are dwindling. Any promotion of the WAFL should be craved, either a written story about AFL players in the WAFL or even quick three second vision on the news.

Or do we just rely on a small 3in x 3in advert on the 8th last page of The West every week to bring the crowds in?

Unfortunately this type of small minded thinking is exactly why the WAFL is basically broke. The more the game is promoted the better. More through the gates = more money for all clubs.

Last week the West Coast site had a story titled something like "Hutchings sends Falcons to Grand Final "
Strange nobody whinged about that.

Oh well next year it will be EAGLES SENDS EP TO FINALS AGAIN!
And unfortunately Hutchy will be part of that. As a Breckler medal winner I am sure I know where is heart beats true.
Lot of players from other clubs will feel the same but because of this arrangement will just have to PUT UP AND SHUT UP.

Pathetic. Love the the EP caps.. they all have premiers 2000,2001,2002..
Alignement with the EAGLE dumped due to WAFL presidents protest and HEY WP WON IN 2003...

Fark what a setup it is and the WAFC just keeps making the MISTAKES.
Not interested in our comp just their own arses.

This message represents the official view of the voices in my head

Just a quick selection before I have a week away, cant see the Jerkers beating the east perth/eagles......Hawthorn over Geelong and the one nobody will like but I think Sydney will beat Freo(hope not) I think the press here has inflated to many freo heads, out of the 4 teams left we have 3 teams very experienced in grand finals
all of them winning premierships in the last few years against a team who have never played in a grand final yet yet alone won one, I dont think you can beat experience
I remember the eagles first grand final, they copped a flogging, so I cant see a win.

Surely now that Grant Duddington has left the WAFC building now is the time for the WAFL Grand Final to be moved back to the week after the AFL GF like they do in the SANFL.
As it stands at the moment the WAFL GF gets lost in the media with all the talk around the AFL Preliminary Finals especially when there is a WA team involved in it.
Move the WAFL GF to the weekend after the AFL GF and let the media focus on the Premier State League competition in the country!

Mind you there will be a more accurate figure on Sunday than the farcical figure of 5,452 on the WAFL site for the Swans versus the club formerly known as East Perth. If that was the correct figure Basso'z capacity is about 12,000 and we all know that we had a game where 22,000 attended for a Swans West Perth match in the 80s.

How can it be farcial Swan, either they counted the people or not are you saying SDFC have corruplty hidden the attendace cash as that is the only way the figure could be wrong...

Simply based on the fact that we had over 22,000 attend a game against West Perth in the 80s and it looked like it was close to half the capacity for the semi-final which would make the crowd figure approximately 10,000 - 11,000. I have no idea who is responsible for the crowd figure. I just used my logical thinking to deduce what I thought was a reasonable approximation for the attendance figure.
