i am sure in 2002 when EP WP played, they got nearly 32,000

and that was a horrible day. showers and wind all day.

a fine day would get the biggest crowd in 20 years im sure. but it seems they are predicting a shocking day weather wise. lets hope they are wrong .

I noticed a lot of EP "supporters" crawled out from under their rocks on Sunday.. Gee would of been nice to see a few more during the season.
Amazing how many all of a sudden are interested when their team is in the finals.. Shit the day I went down to SF to watch them play you could of counted the EP supporters on one hand.

I Must admit when WP plays them a few more turn up so it should be a good turnout. Sadly we have those Wet weather people who wont go if it is raining :(
Fair call I suppose as it will be on ABC TV..

Such is life.. I suppose a lot of Dockers supporters will be comming out as well but YOU cant blame them after the last few years.

27000 if it is wet. Hoping we can get over 30000, would make for an amazing atmosphere between two fierce rivals. Got me tickets today and am very much looking forward to it.

Bazza wrote: I reckon they can get 30,000 ,,probably 32,000 max. All would have to go well with weather etc.

I will be going along with a group of SF people to check the Colts and Reserves, and looking forward to the big one.

What is this rubbish about letting spectators onto the ground at 1/4 time that is madness, just to many issues.

But Bazza were you not advocating moving the WAFL Grand Final to the 20,000 capacity WACA Ground a few weeks back???
How could one possibly fit 32,000 into the WACA!! B)

Correct. 31,382 attended that day according to the WAFL website. The biggest crowd at a grand final since then was 24,638 who were lucky enough to witness the 2010 Grand Final. This is also the first year since 2002 that neither Subiaco or Claremont are a participant in the grand final, so you would expect an increase in the crowd anyway because of the greater support for both this years participants.

I'll say another 5 thou on top of the 2010 attendance so 29638, and there to be more blue and black.

That's a great stat about the first GF since 2002 to not feature Claremont or Subiaco.
