You bet they do. If you pay to get into see GWS play at Manuka Oval, then your doing something wrong.

When I went the other month against Bulldogs, they also had a cBus promo where their members all wore fluro orange. It bulked out the crowd to look like GWS support on TV.

There was far more support for the Bulldogs than GWS. A lot of local Ainslie, East lake, Queanbeyan merchandise too... People getting tickets through the local clubs obviously.....

Mike.

Having just listened to Howard, he actually makes a lot of sense and makes several good points and hate to say it I am swayed by some of his findings and suggestions, which as he states in the interview are independent of Swans. I wan the WAFL to grow and succeed into the future, but this year the crowds are dwindling even though the footy has been brilliant, but that doesn't pay the bills. I would rather things be done now than have to say in 5-10 when Swans or another clubs are being wound up "I wish they had of acted sooner" Like Dawson said there is a perfect storm right now to get the $ our comp deserves!
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

I haven't heard what was said. However coming up with the name change they suggested is certainly not one of their highlights!
What the hell are they thinking! The pair of them must have been half pissed standing at the bar when they thought that stupid name! If that's not a backward step, I'm not sure what is?

Yes we want the competition to continue if that's possible. Need to try to make positive steps forward.

Do you support the WAFL, or do you support the club? Do you support the AFL or do you support a club?

I'm sure that anyone on a board at a WAFL or AFL club have the clubs best interest at heart before the league.

A league is not a league without a club, or clubs. A club can always find a league. People don't go to the footy to support the league, they go to support a club.

I hope that makes sense.

I listened too the link with the Howard Dawson interview and he makes a lot of sense. I am dead against the AFL WA logo because we will descend into their 2nds under that name but like a lot of his ideas.

I actually thought Vhalos made the most sense. SD turn over 4 million dollars and are broke. Now one of their directors is crying poor and saying the comp is stuffed! Ironical really dont you think

Agree Swandog.. I had a pretty poor opinion of the group that bought this Paper forward but having listened to Howard as you say I agreed with some of his points. Not all mind you but he did put up a good arguement and sounded like he was pretty level headed.
He did mention the Paper had a small distrubition list to presidents and a couple of others and it was in confidence. He said he would be interested to know who released it.. I suppose Shane Hope the author of the WEST ARTICLE could answer that.

Cant see any of it being accepted but Food for thought.

misleading comment by Vlahos but then again he talks with his Eagles and East Perth hat on so we all know what importance to put on his thoughts on any WAFL matters
