The AFL clubs affected by mass Covid infections will be able to get top-up players from their aligned clubs or reserves side(s) first then from state league clubs that are aligned to them 
WA is the only state where it hasn't been thrashed out as yet but it appears WAFL sides may be designated to either side similar to the SANFL model if agreed to
This is separate to the drafts and does not include them

I wonder what happened to the figure of 2 players? That was the big talking point last week where each Wafl club could lose 2 players weekly! Where has that figure gone? Why has that been allowed to be thrown out the bloody window. And why has this been allowed to happen in the first place??

I think the whole thing stinks badly - postpone their games I reckon and they can do that

I already have no interest in the v(a)fl and lose interest in footy more and more each year.....and it is crap like this that helps in my waning interest in the game I used to love especially as a kid....it is nowadays just a complete farce!

Could be a great leveler for the WAFL and achieve what the inept WAFC have been unable to do for decades, restructure zones to ensure a level playing field. 

It's unlikely clubs like Perth and East Perth will be affected.

This could be a boil over season. Anything is possible.

The only club who shouldn't have to provide any top up players is EF now....already done their "bit" by gift wrapping their best ruck, best forward and a top 3 club mid to the AFL for the whole season last minute, not just the odd game here and there mid season. Really hope all 3 boys get a lot of AFL time instead of WCER time....

Remember, this is not conscription to AFL teams, the player has the final say. From my clubs pov, our senior age players many who have had AFL experience like Lockyer, Dewar, or  Marsh, or guys like Kitchen, Heal, Walters and Dela would probably not be interested about a week or two in the AFL. The guys that may be interested would be Sokol, Borchet, Giro, Mayo the Hickmonts, Harris, Atkinson, Braut, Brandon Matera & Golding. It will be how well a clubs depth can cope with losing 2 or 3 players for a week or two that will see what affect that has on their overall season. Unlimited numbers from any one club is a rediculous state of affairs, even the top teams from last season in Subi, Souths, Claremont & Joondy would struggle if 4 or 5 of their top 10 players were missing. Subi saw that in the 2020 exhibition lightning carnival.

there'll be multiple applications from all clubs , it'll be a damaging time for the league
