Shall we try for agreement for a second time today?  Do you agree the players would develop better by playing for their WAFL team rather than playing in the Eagles reserves team?

Playing for their reserves gives them access to first class facilities and experienced people.  It also could cause them a “what the hell am I doing here” feeling when you get belted every week.  I think the second outweighs the first, so yes, I agree.

I may be overly optimistic in trying for the hattrick.  Why would Swans or West Perth, if they make the finals, select either player to play finals for them given the two players have spent the rest of the season playing in the WCE reserves team?  Surely either club would want to reward the players who have contributed to making the finals? 

Would it be too cynical of me to suggest that the only reason the Eagles would want them to play in the finals for their original WAFL club would be for selfish reasons and nothing to do with trying to help the original WAFL club?

Do you guys think that WC have used this MSD to bolster their stupid WAFL team? That they have no intension of elevating some of these kids onto the AFL list?

Falcon, I think you may be right on the money, although West is a very good mid and WC currently have their two best mids with long term injuries.

What's got me beat is why WP and SD agreed to allow these players to play for the WCER. Under the rules they had every right to say no thanks they will stay with their WAFL clubs. WC asked and the two WAFL clubs said yes, so no use bagging the WCE when it's the 2 WAFL clubs who have made the decision. I wonder what incentive$ WC gave to each club to get them to agree?

All that being said the mid season draft totally sucks balls!!

Falcon the Eagles midfield has been smashed in all there losses.They took a huge risk bringing back Yeo so early.And in the same game lost Kelly.Short term the WP MSD is a better option than the kids running around in  there Wafl team,and will play seniors.

Not so sure we can make the hat trick.  I do agree however, that these players should not be bought back for the finals if they have been playing for WCE ressies.  I think the players that would be left out for these two to return would justifiably aggrieved.
On your second point, there is no real advantage in the Eagles doing this at this stage of the season.  It’s highly likely that they won’t make the 8, so why would they do something like that.  I think you and your supporters of this far fetched theory is more to do with the hate of anything West Coast Eagles swan.  Can you tell me one AFL team that really gives a rats about their state teams?
