Thank you for providing that link Grump, much appreciated and finallly helps in understanding if we the spectators are allowed back at the WAFL tomorrow.
Because if we were relying on McGowan's clusterfark of a press conference you wouldnt have a clue if we were allowed back at the WAFL, although Perth Stadium can hold 45,000 this week that was well and truly announced!!!

How bad was that Press Conference, muttered, confused, jumping around, obfiscation, condescending, a shocker.
He's on a power trip this bloke. McGoo is off with the fairies.

By the way, the travel ban from India would appear to be pretty easy to get around.

As people are doing, just catch a connecting flight to Qatar, Oman, UAE or someplace else and travel to Australia from there.

The travel ban in name only.
Surely that could not have been foreseen?
Yes it was and it was stopped, deceit comes in many forms and many colours!
I was being extremely sarcastic as it should have been apparent immediately that people would attempt a circuitous route to get back to Australia.

Here is the advice that Swans have sent:

All Swans supporters travelling to away games this weekend must abide by the following conditions of entry. This is important so we can continue to play WAFL and WAFLW games during the ongoing COVID 19 restrictions.
  • Masks must be worn when entering the ground , at all times inside (except when you are eating or drinking) and outdoors when you are unable to maintain the 1.5m rule. To be safe we ask that all spectators wear masks throughout the match.
  • Check in through the SafeWA app or on our physical registry is mandatory.
  • There will be restrictions on the amount of people allowed in all indoor facilities to adhere to the 2sqm rule.
  • For this week, Members and supporters are NOT allowed in the changerooms at any stage.
  • Members and supporters are still welcome to listen to the 1/4 time and 3/4 time addresses, however masks are mandatory as social distancing will not be possible.
  • There will be no Kid Zone this Saturday at Leederville Oval, however attendees are allowed to kick the footy on the oval at breaks.
  • If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend

If McGoo and Cooked have their way it will. Easier to lock everyone down than fix a broken health system which won't be able to cope with an outbreak. I see Cooked was saying the health systems of every state in Australia are under pressure as well. What he failed to mention was that WA is the only state with an operating surplus so really there's no excuse for blown out ED waiting times, record ramping, delayed elective surgery, kids dying needlessly and so on when you consider we only have 1 Covid case currently in hospital. He needs to fall on his sword surely as things weren't great under Barnett but they're a lot worse now.

A bloke just rang 6PR and said basketball for over 30,000 kids has been cancelled this weekend because they've been told the players have to wear masks while they're playing inside. You couldn't make this shit up and people believe you.

Do the Wildcats have to wear masks? No chance. We've all seen lot's of NBL and NBA games where the coaches are wearing masks while they aren't talking which isn't very often while 10 blokes are going at it on the court. No Masks.

Well done DUMB and DUMBER. You just ruined the weekend for kids after missing out last weekend.

The other thing is DD that kids are much much less likely to get the virus and if they did, 99% of the time its very mild. It's a complete clusterfuck, the health system is pharked, as BC mentioned, so Dumb and Dumber are shitting themselves and crossing fingers and toes that they can continue to dodge covid bullets using their one and only weapon of "shut it down". The fact that they hurried to announce that 45k could go along to the Freo/Eags match early in the week but only yesterday we learnt about WAFL and other community sports is an indication that they want to keep their free footy lunches and prime viewing seats at these games, and dont start me on how poorly they have treated the veterans and others around ANZAC day, a complete disgrace and clear discrimination.

What a beautiful autumn day in Perth. A perfect day for WAFL footy. 4 games all starting at 2.10, involving the 8 traditional clubs. Life is good!

Yep Will Schofield confirmed it. I recall last year Dill said all AFL get tested every day. The Brisbane coach came out the other week and said that his team haven't been tested since January. Even if an AFL player tested positive, they cover up so that the season rolls on.
