Lol, Cody isn't too fussy about the colour of the jumper. It's the colour of MONEY that got Cody's attention.

Club Presidents were meeting tonight and I think I read somewhere that they need to make a decision by the end of the week as to what happens this season.

Was reading an article on Sport FM and came across these comments from East Perth CEO, Dean Turner.

"No season has been raised, we've been desperately waiting for the WAFC and their financial models are because they are key to keeping club afloat and their ability to set up hardship funds becomes very important."

When asked about the amount of money that could be lost Turner revealed it could be in the $100,000's.

"If for example we were able to get a nine game season and receive the full funding from the WAFC then it would for our club around $300,000. If the footy commission don't manage our full funding then we are looking at $400-450,000 and if there were no games then around $200-300,000."

So he's obviously talking from an East Perth perspective but I found it interesting that from his perspective the club would lose the least amount of money by not having a season this year.

Either way those figures are scary for some WAFL clubs.

Hopefully we are allowed to have some footy come early August. 12 round home and away season, top 4 qualify for finals for a 3 week finals series like it used to be. That would see WAFL through to the end of November and teams that didn't make the finals would start back up in mid January with the GF teams starting up early February with the 2021 WAFL season getting under way in Early April.

And if by some miracle we are allowed to have football earlier, say the start of July, then you could possibly get 2-4 extra rounds in for a 14-16 game home and away season.

Both AFL licenced sides are about to have significantly less bank balances if mail is correct - and the licences may be about to be mortgaged to assist the WAFC & Gov

Southy what was that I heard one of those numpty maggot Vic reporters Jon Ralph banging on about how much money the WCE have in the bank and how that could be utilised to help save some of those financially troubled Vic teams?

If 1c of the WCE money is spent on any of those Vic teams and at the same time WAFL clubs go under I will farken blow a gasket as the whole premise of the WCE back in 1986 was to help fund/bankroll WA footy not farken Vic!

Was watching Fox Footy DD, I cant remember exactly which show possibly afl tonight or 360 as I normally tune out whenever any of those flogs like Ralph, Morris, Browne, MacLure & co come on but my ears pricked when I briefly heard him mention about how much money WCE have in the bank plus he mentioned possibly Rich, Coll & Adel and how that could be utilised by the afl to help cash strapped Vic teams and GCS/GWS.

that is because the ES flog knows full well that the only two licences that Vicco cannot get their grubby hands upon reside over the great divide
and he also knows that the WAFC/WA Govt will decide where that coin goes as the licence holders
