I think we are done and dusted lads, the season wont get a chance to start, and this will put a lot of pressure on clubs financially.

I think the way footy is organized and run nationally will change out of this and we will all probably have to just roll with the changes regardless of if we like them.

I'm not trying to stir shit, I'm just voicing my opinion, it will be a sad day for all state league clubs Australia wide if it happens, but the cost is huge to everyone right now.

I believe if it is at all possible where we can get to a situation where 9 games were possible that could at the very least constitute a season where we play each other once at least with the Finals being a 1st vs 2nd GF?
Wishful thinking maybe?
If that isnt feasible then we might have to just give this season a miss unfortunately, although if anyone remembers the 1982 (Red Rooster Carnival) & 1983 (Emu Export Carnival) seasons where we had the pre season or mid season lightning carnivals could that at least whet the appetite for what is going to be a long winter.
One of the few things in our favour is all of our grounds are WAFL grounds exclusively and not used for summer sports like cricket so we could possibly play into Spring as well.
Just a few ideas that have crossed my mind in trying to help the WAFL and our clubs.

Spare a thought for the PM Baz. No Hillsong for him and his misses. And what's Margaret going to do on Sundays? Maybe dust off the old wooden racket, watch some lezzo porn and crank up Billie Jean on the CD player.

Must be a lot of folk impacted by it, like Orthodox Jews etc that cant get to Synagogue.

Normally see CICCO on a Sunday where I go sometimes, he never misses.

Sharkie if EF fold it might the segway for North Freo to make their way back into the WAFL. Cody already has a permit to play for NF .

As much as I am dearly hanging out for my WANFL I think 9 games doesn't reward a best team and give a good finals mixture - it is going to be a long winter as Beas' said
just cannot think of anything that is worth losing a good player or players to this insidious shit of a thing

I think to get the WAFL clubs to arc up for 10 weeks then do the normal post season close down might be even more costly. All clubs have cut back to skeleton staff, players would have been given exercise programmes, most players know how to look after them selves anyway. let it all wash through and start up next March with the same sort of comp, with crowds in the outer and a cold beer at the clubs bar. Phark me I'll miss that this year but look forward to next year.

The virus won't peak in Australia until July or August I would think.
Stay safe everyone and observe sensible separation guidelines.
Some of us are getting older.
:) :) :) :)

Yes DF...the modelling I saw has the infection rate peaking in August at a level our health system can cope with if we all do the right thing...if we don't do the right thing it will likely peak in May and thousands will die. Pretty sobering stuff but that's how serious it is.
