Interesting. Well that clears up some confusion for me. Still think its rough if they were to play 4 games for each of 3 different grades, but i suppose clubs could work with this by round 18 and qualify them for at least 1.

I have no alliance to Whitfords but i think they are a bit stiff here. If they are trying to cheat the system why wouldnt they play the guy under a false name.

The rules are shithouse it pretty much tells clubs to ensure fringe league players qualify for both league and ressies finals.

The rule should be if you have played 5 games for your club you are qualified for your club. Then it is about the integrity of each club to ensure they do not drop league players to ressies for finals or ressies/league players to thirds for finals.
There would be a number of clubs where players would walk out because the club allows this but so many clubs that wouldnt.

What's done is done and the correct decision was made, so let's all move on. I can't wait to pop down and see a good, honest, blue-collar team like Kalamunda rightfully play off in a GF; they deserve to be there. I also can't wait seeing their best player and my mate Simon Bycroft run around; he's such a good player that he managed to play two games whilst in Europe. He's that good.
