Mate I'm not even from that club! I can count, which is something you can't do obviously ("Whitfords were the team to hold onto the information for over a month").

I realise you and Wembley aren't too interested in facts so I thought I would clear it up for you.

Having said that I'm not surprised that you're upset, My only recommendation is that I would get your Club to lodge a protest so you can play finals instead of Wembley. On another hand, why replace one cheating Club with another cheating Club?

How can you say they got off scott free? Did they not have 8 Points stripped off them?

So to knowingly put a players name on a gameday sheet for 2 games (possibly more who knows? ) knowing he is in another state as well as play another player on the day using his alias, this is a clear and concise case of taking the Piss and the integrity unit needs to get involved due to the nature of what has happened. Yes they have been penalised according to the By-Laws but if the ammos board feels that this is an adequate penalty, then there are clearly 2 sets of rules (1 for Wembley and 1 for other clubs) - a clearer case of cheating you will not find!!

How does North Freo feel going from finishing 2nd and hosting a qualifying final to travelling halfway across the metro area to play in an elimination final? Swan ath also lose the double chance all because they abided by the rules?

What about kingsway?? Speaking with kingsway people, by all reports the game v quinns on the weekend was a ripper with a spot in finals up for grabs. Last kick of the game fairly won them the game and a spot in finals.

For this to happen to the playing group is bullshit. Pull out Wembley and insert kingsway into the finals.

What some are demanding is for the WAAFL to shelve the By-Laws and hand out penalties based on how it will affect the team/club. Wembley's BR got stripped of 8 points and percentage as per the by-laws. If this happened in round 3 we would not be having a discussion. If Wembley were sitting 5th and got knocked out of the finals, we would not see the same triggered reactions demanding blood.

Interesting to hear that Whitfords dobbed Wembley in. The only irony would be if Whitfords were to be exposed of having a long running history of paying players. For Whitford's sake you can only hope that the overwhelming rumours from numerous sources are not true.

Wembley have been caught cheating. Yet the penalties handed down do not effect them in the slightest. They still remain in first spot, and "earn" the right to a week off in Rnd 1 of the finals, Stripped of 8 points at this stage is useless, considering they finished 4 games clear on top?

I don't understand how the WAAFL can hand out a "penalty" which effects everyone else - bar the club/team they were supposed to penalise. Interesting to know the WAAFL's interpretation of bringing the game into disrepute is, if this doesn't qualify...

Have the WAAFL now wiped their hands of this, or are investigations still on going?

North Freo wouldn't have hosted a qualifying final anyway, so that point is moot.

I can see why some people are a bit upset, but the rules handed out were appropriate.

Let's name and shame the Wembley player...would be great fun for banter throughout finals. I wonder if he knew...as for the player who played is his place...well I hope he qualified for finals.

So back in May 2016 The WAAFL appointed an integrity officer with the responsibilities clearly broken down into 2 areas being Education and Investigations.

I believe that what Wembley has done has been intentional and clearly falls under 2 of the headings in investigations as follows:

1- Investigate alleged breaches of WAAFL rules and Policies
2- Act on matters referred in accordance with the whistleblowers policy

Why have an integrity officer at all? What is his role and what has to happen for an issue to be acted upon. 3 clubs have been affected by this yet the ammos don't have the balls to take one of protected clubs to task

Another classic example of the tail wagging the dog
