Doe - if the offence was a once off then yes the penalty as prescribed in the by-laws is satisfactory as has happened to other clubs previously.

To do it 2 weeks in a row means that the club knew what they were doing was wrong yet went ahead and did it anyway which to me is a slap in the face to the whole WAAFL comp and it's board.

It is blatant cheating in my opinion and the board should make Wembley accountable for there actions by at the bare mimimum, banning the ressies from finals in 2016

If the Amateurs feel as though they have deliberately tried to cheat the system compromising the integrity of the comp (- which they have), referred to integrity committee for decision.

Once its with the integrity committee they can do what they want without appeal.

Correct UTB. Per the WAAFL By-Laws:

35.10 Offences and Penalties
d) A Club or team which acts or conducts itself in a manner prejudicial to the good order and management of amateur football or detrimental to the interests of the WAAFL or brings the game into disrepute, shall be liable to a fine or suspended fine not exceeding $1,000, and may be subject to further sanctions, including but not limited to, loss of Premiership Points or suspended from participating.

Effectively no one is arguing what they did was right; however the WAAFL needs to decide if the Club OR team has brought the WAAFL into disrepute. If they believe that they have, then it seems the WAAFL have significant powers to ban the team OR club from the competition entirely, which means missing out on finals.

Are Wembley handing over a nice full brown paper bag to the Waafl or something? If a club like Kelmscott were caught employing the same tactics they would be banned from participating any further immediately.

Totally irrelevant, Wembley had plenty of time to admit they did the wrong thing. They are miles out in front on top. Considering the player has played all year in the league side, probably questionable if he played ressies at all.
Do they have a bit of a program going to qualify players through the grades? Bet there are plenty more instances at the club. Would be interesting to see how many players at Wembley are sitting on the mandatory number 5 through the grades

Umm. Round 15 was 23/7 and Round 16 30/7. Given today is the 15th that's 16 days since Round 16 yeh?
