premiership hangover wrote: wow more drama here on Saturday than a week at Summer bay........

winners are grinners, losers should not complain, If i'm right the game went for 100 minutes yes????? that's 4 x 25minute quarters?

No point blaming someone else for something that happened in the last 2 minutes of the game and saying this is why Whitford's lost, unless Whitford's people can get on here and say Whitford's didn't make any mistakes at all during the day, they played the perfect game of football and the mistake at the end of the game was the only reason they lost.......

There is a process Whitfords can follow, I think Big Blue raised it earlier today. I didn't see anywhere in that process where it said get on "OzFooty.net" and blame everyone for your defeat

That process is being followed, the ozfooty stuff is just a reminder to everyone. If Collegians had an ounce of decency they would have done something after the match. But then again Collegians decency over the years has been well documented on here. I think its important to remember that having a game influenced or potentially influenced by someone off the field is appalling.

What is the decency that collegians lack over the last few years?

It is puzzling that an accusation like that would from a scummy person from whitfords. What about the decency of your supporters abusing a player who was coming off the ground from a stretcher? what about the decency of your supporters trying to start fights after the game? i also remember a final three years at dalkeith oval where the whitties supporters again couldn't handle to loss and again tried to start fights with collegians supporters after the game. Where was the decency there???

Worry about issues at your own club first as it seems most clubs have had problems with you guys over the years.

After you are finishing worrying about that, start worrying about your pathetic on field performance of going away with the L's next to your name. Welcome to B grade mate, not as easy as you'd thought it would be.

SHUT UP WHITFORDS!!!

Imagine if at any ball up during the Hawks vs Essendon game the ump blew his whistle 1 second earlier....HAWKS WOULDVE WON!!!

But they didn't. So please shut up and move on. A lot of people already dislike you club, don't give others ammo to jump on board.

Oh No a poor decision made by someone during a community football game!! F**k me what an outrage, has this ever happened before, lets have a royal commission and get to the bottom of this practice of making mistakes!

My understanding of the WAAFL by-laws are that stopping the clock is only for SERIOUS injuries.
ie, when a player is unconscious, or a severely broken limb. It's for when a player cannot be moved due to the severity of the injury and cannot get onto a stretcher straight away.
If it was just a normal stretcher incident, then there is no need to stop the clock.

However an umpire can say stop the clock if they feel there may be an undue delay, I'm sure the WAAFL will say the same thing. You'd also find most umpires time the quarters themselves, so they would have known if the siren was below early or not.

How funny that Clubs are prepared to complain about mistakes by others but don't recognise that their own errors like poor disposals, dropped marks, missed tackles and free kicks against have a much greater influence on a result than the umpires or timekeeper. Time to get on with next week.

I would be interested to know if Hunter coached the whole twos game though??

Yes he did coach the whole game. Not the only player coaching a reserves side. Both Wanneroo and Scarborough have players coaching the twos.

It is strange how defensive the Collegians people have been over this topic. If they had nothing to worry about then why wouldn't they welcome an official from the league questioning them about this situation.

Cue another plethora of responses aimed at Whitfords for bringing this issue to light.

Players have moved on, let the WAAFL finish their investigation and then both sides abide by the decision.

Local Footy wrote: Hey Duck, this is copied straight from the By-Laws.

BY-LAW 24 TIMEKEEPERS
24.1 The home team for each fixtured match shall have a suitable and audible siren/bell. Both teams shall provide a timekeeper. Failure to do so will incur a fine as prescribed in Schedule 1.

So looks like the bylaws don't need amending as you suggest but rather Whitford get fined for not providing a time keeper.

I would suggest Whitford get their own ducks in a row before making allegations.

Don't think he was making an allegation, just regardless of 1 or 2 timekeepers the clock should stop if the Umpire indicates to do so.

This another reason why Amateurs is really Amateurs

Interesting to see that Kingsway received a clearance for a player to go to Hamersley Carine dated today's date yet it appears he played in their winning colts side last weekend. Interested to see what the waafl will do if made aware moreso maddington who lost the game

Not really being defensive over this topic. More defensive over the fact that whitties supporter is questioning the decency of our club. This is after the runner of whitfords (who looked great wearing that go pro around his chest???) pushed the collegians volunteer, a father of one of the players, who was keeping the time.

Great example of how to get people to help out with community football....
