Hey Mark, not sure u need to be that direct, but I think we can all agree the decision making process at the WAFC is seriously broken. Only one way to fix it, equitable voting procces on a balanced board

Equitable voting on a balanced board.

Equitable voting on a balanced board.

Let's end WAFL clubs selling their soul fo $$$$

Hah, good luck with that.
Eagles control WA footy, Dockers won’t want to change their stronghold either.
Ammos have to vote with the wafc as they pay your CEO and you are also in bed with the eagles as your sponsor.
Be careful what you wish for.
McGowan not happy with the eagles, labour pollies have good relationships with certain wafl clubs and they have a few wafc people in their sights.
Politics at play everywhere

Very funny Mark.. 45% of wages if u were paying attention.

Ammos "vote" is irrelevant given its size.

Careful what u wish for?? The enquiry has highlighted how little say grass roots has. Wafc are saying it. The pollies are saying it, meanwhile the WAFL are pretending to be grassroots.. surprise , surprise.

Whatever he is he had to admit he is an employee of the wafc.
Next week will be interesting, few people already aware of what may be asked, may not look good for the wafc again.
If people want to play politics good to know which way the wind at the top is blowing.
McGowan not an eagles fan
Nalder a wafl man
Plenty of labor pollies close to wafl clubs, Dave Kelly likes swans

Mark, it's common knowledge. Nobody denies it. It's not a secret. The entire PFL gets less funding than a single WAFL club every year.

69 PFL clubs, who cares what Nadler thinks?? If u don't think the PFL clubs haven't already engaged local pollies during the enquiry, u are dumber than you are making out.

P.S. Catania is where it's at, grass roots football

3 of the 5 on the committee are labor
Nalder liberal
Catania National party

So, so privileged Mark. Do tell.

Sounds important. Hopefully it's not questioning the position and role of the WAFC or more importantly the voting...

Shit, hope it's not about the WAFL funding.....

I hope the political make-up of the Parliamentary Committee has no bearing on the outcome.

I don't want to see the WAFL Reserves competition cancelled.

I don't really want those Clubs/teams in the PFL but I REALLY don't want to see the players from that competition spread amongst the favoured few A Grade (and perhaps the odd B Grade) Clubs.

The points system was brought in to stop the rorts that have been going on and to try and give every Club that wants to the opportunity to be an A or B Grade Club, without access to money being the decider of who gets that opportunity.

It's time for the WAFL Clubs, just like the PFL/Peel/Country/Metro League Clubs do now, to stand on their own two feet. If their product is good enough, sponsorship and membership will follow. If not, close the doors.

WAFL Clubs need to be a part of the football community - the WHOLE football community in their districts - not just a favoured few A and B Grade Clubs.

It is an absolute indictment that the President of South Perth JFC, who told the Committee that he is also a Board member of Perth Football Club, then tells the Committee that he hasn't seen anyone from Perth FC at his Club in 5 or 6 years. Community involvement? He and his Club don't have the FIRST IDEA!!! The really sad part of it is that his is not the only WAFL Club in exactly the same position.

WAFL Clubs - if you want to be relevant in the future of football in this state, fix this now or your Club is dead.

As some amateur Clubs have found out (or are currently finding out), the same applies to your Clubs.

Birdman,
You make some really valid points regarding present 'practices' from WAFL clubs but more discerning about 'possible' future of spreading WAFL reserves to favoured clubs.

We all know a lot of 'water to go under the bridge' yet ..but let's hope there is a change for the better for community football.
