The Government's handling of the South Metropolitan area has a bureaucratic shambles!

Don't take my word for it.Read the catalogue iof Complaints the Clinicians have detailed in the Letter to the Sunday Times. If Kim Hames is such a great Minister, why didn't he stay the Distance in Health until he retired?

Simple - He knew he out of his depth, when he pulled the pin and he also knew, what a major Political Liability he would have been at the next State Election, retired or not.

Lord help future Health Ministers,be it one side of the political fence or the other.

Read the WA Today article about WA Whingers today - reckon Perth people take the cake for being Negative.

And you would be the clubhouse leader in the negativity stakes!!

Exactly haven't heard anything positive about the WAFL come from S & S on Ozfooty of FG over the years and he has the hide to have a go at the public airing their grievances about how Barnett and co have sunk the state into irreversible debt for a few monuments to himself!

Tell me something positive about the WAFL and its progress in the last few years? You reckon its going great do you? All you have done is bag the shit out of the whole thing, even the ch 7 coverage, you name it, you have moaned about it...or maybe you had legitamate concerns...lol

What a load of crap to compare the two regardless...

You were bagging THE WAFL when the comp was on an upward curve through 2008-2012. Yeh I don't like the Ch7 coverage as it is rubbish compared to the ABC with twits commentating that just give it lip service and don't actually take a proper interest in it. At least Willet, Lamb, the late Judgy, Corbin etc have a deep love of the WAFL and know it inside out, but that's for another thread.
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

I agree with some on here that Barnett is on the nose at the minute and it will be tough for him to stay in power according to the polls and the media.

I compare him to Jeff Kennett, a bloke who was hated and seen as arrogant and a general just as Barnett is, they got rid of him of course but a few short years later many said gee he actually got things done.
I think this will happen with Barnett as well.
I am late 40's and in my lifetime he is the only premier who has actually got things done and is moving Perth out of its 19th century slumber. Everywhere you look there is something happening, yes we have gone in to huge debt because of it and other reasons but this time there is something to show for it.
I visited Elizibeth Quay for the first time on Sunday and was very impressed and I can see that it will be a magnificent place just as Southbank is in Melbourne in 5 years time. People of course think it was a waste of money but those people will always think like that.

Like I said I think barnett and the Libs will get voted out, not because they should but just because thats how WA people are and they vote change just because of time and for no real reason.
I hope I am wrong and the Libs stay in and let barnett continue to do and finish what no Premier has ever done in this state.
Move with the times!!

I agree 100% GWS all of the changes in Perth over the last 5 years have been absolutely brilliant and made the city so much more vibrant, in 100 years time people will look back and say what a visionary Barnett & co were and as much as it pains me to say this as a lifetime Labor voter.

Christ Grassy you just wrote Mark Mcgowens speech for him word for word, no mention of anything that has been done, no solution to anything and just pointing out promises made which have not happened.
Not sure if you are aware but all politicians lie, never been one that hasn't.
Every premier ever has always failed to do some of the things they promised. Yes of course they should be pointed out but it doesn't define them.
If lying defined politicians then politics would be somewhere no one would want to be.
I don't care that you are a labor man, everyone backs some party for their own reasons, but surely even you can acknowledge some of the things the Libs have achieved especially when nothing has been done for 40 years.
