I'm in absolute agreement that Crown should be kicking in big time but that's not what this thread is about.

BC, in all seriousness do you really think that the rooms are purely for follower of the islamic faith.

I think that you really, and others need to look around you and see that a lot of followers of the christian faith want to be able to seek solace away from everyones view. If bother to watch that great and mighty christian nation the US you see now end of public faith following and I have asked a few of my US friends and they confirmed that most of their stadia have prayer rooms for ALL faiths.

I suspect that the comment about trying to great a wider spread of issues with the followers of Islam is not far from the truth either deliberately of by accident.

Just seems pretty simple to me. If you want to watch sport, go to the arena. If you want to pray, go to church. It's really all in your personal preferences. As for ignoring it, it's still a waste of space and money in a $1B+ building. I can't understand why someone would go to a sporting event, then suddenly say to yourself, "I think I'll pop in for a quick pray". FMD!!

shark in many ways I agree with you cos I don't have a need or urge to seek some form of mythical being to help through my foot ball game, just a few committed players will do. But apparently in many parts of the world including here I and perhaps u are in the minority.

I was shocked when they put ladies toilets in at the games cos someone decided that they should be able to pee in privacy and not behind a tree but no one listened then. as for toilet paper rather than the old daily news or weekend news, don't get me started

Grump, the salat room is consecrated for particular issues to do with the Islamic faith.
That is;
No footwear to be worn.
No consumables.
Gender specific. Ie. No women allowed!
Lockable door. WTF!
With this in mind they will want that no other person other than their own faith can use the room.
Seems perfectly alright to me that a minority gets all the rights and privileges that the majority doesn’t!!!

Probably being built for those 10 $cumiaco supporters still alive by then praying to go back to $ubi Oval when Perth Stadium finally opens as that cheating mob will come back to the field big time when it does without their cash cow!! :)

And they are definitely salat rooms and not prayer rooms, it maybe semantics but there is a difference. One can be used as the other whilst the other can't!
