Swandog, the GST replaced a wholesale tax. The same shopping basket was a few pence cheaper with the GST , the GST would of been introduced by either party.

No fan of Barnett but at least he made a decision and got things moving along. I can see that if there is a change of Govt that the whole process will stall again with more bloody reports and committees.
McGowan should concentrate on other more important issues and he might have had a rough chance of deposing the emperor.
