Nah the cops get shafted by the left wing as they are soft on crime and heaps of teachers, doctors and nurses work in the private sector these days..

too much money wasted on crap with the ALP.

Thats a very very lame comeback!

PM could be stuck.

JULIAR could be marooned in the former Russian imperial capital St Petersburg a week before the election - or risk Australia delivering an embarrassing snub to world leaders.

The Prime Minister's dilemma surrounds her invitation to the G20 summit, to be hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 5 and 6, about 15,000 kilometres away from the campaign trail in Australia.

Her presence will be keenly expected after Australia lobbied successfully to take over the chair of the group in 2014 and will host the next summit in Brisbane.

But her decision to hold the election a week after this year's summit has cast doubt on her attendance, and the chance to brief leaders on Australia's plans ahead of the Brisbane meeting.

Labor has set aside more than $350 million to host the Brisbane summit, with a handover of the chair expected in St Petersburg.

Observers say sending a representative at a leaders' meeting can never expect to carry the same influence as a national leader.

Well im sure a few days away wont affect anything, after all as many on here say, its an 8 mth campaign so a couple of days wont matter, and you all reckon she is gone anyway so again a few days away wont hurt

It is their job to oppose and keep the current government somewhat honest. They do not have to provide any alternative at all.
They keep saying no because everything the current comedy club does is a joke.
They know they will have to clean up the mess again so they try and keep the mess to a minimum. Unfortunately this time the mess might be bloody huge.
But they have cleaned up huge ones before as well.
Bring on September 14th, biggest landslide in political history.

Bullshit! They are the Alternative Govt and should provide alternatives, so far we have ZERO!

Thats the rub. They wont even need to put up alternatives to win your mob is sooooooo far behind.

I love watching you squirm

That there is the truth of the matter. In a different climate (ie perhaps if Rudd was still in) Abbott would have to work a bit harder to win the election.

It's a shame though because he is a clown and doesn't deserve the job but will probably get it by default.

Its great you think its a wonderful situation that we have a dud in parliament and a dud in waiting who doesn't have to try.

We don't know that Abbott is a dud yet? We do know that Julia is and Kevin was. So really whoever it is will always be heading in the right direction, you can't go lower than the existing comedy club.

We do know what he stands for though..WORK CHOICES!

Yep nothing worse in life than having choices!!!!!!!

I hope you enjoy your leave loading, superannuation, penslties lunch and tea breaks etc mate because if it wasnt for labour and the union movement you wodnt have FA, if Abbott and co had his way, most Aussie workers would be screwed to the minimum

Joe Average would be better served by the lesser of two evils and thats the Labour party federally and State.. Joe Average should never forget two Liberal names Peter Reith federally and Graham Kierath in WA.. Nuff said

Like i said..ANYONE who thinks ANY of the parties are going to look after the average PAYE person is in cloud cockoo land. Not that i want to get into a never ending/never winning discussion... but i believe our wages are some of the highest in the western world, so not sure how good/bad Rieth or Kierath are. Hey as they warfies on $120,000 a year how "hard" they are doing it, despite any reforms. Never believed one party is good enough to stick with as they are ALL THE SAME lieing decieving self serving arrogant twats, how one can become aligned to one party quite honestly staggers me

I must be easy meat because I'm flabberghasted that ANYONE could support this government. They have taken a country from a black bank balance to a heavy red one. Sheet, according to today's news even Zimbabwe has $217 in the bank....that's more than us!! Every thing she does ends up stinking, her past reeks, wherever she goes ends up stinking. It also appears she has been running a 'protection program' for one of hers. I think that if an American president and his party smelled as bad as joooools, they would be impeached...now! She's also lost control of the borders, lost respect of the electorate and has no leadership skills worth a rat's arse. To add to her list of "achievements", look at this:
au.news.yahoo.com/today-tonight/lifestyl...8/spreading-the-word
It's ok sitting back and saying that the 2 parties are as bad as one another, but one of them WILL run the country, so we have to pick the better of the 2 and get rid of ranga and wayne the simperer.

Actually no we woudnt be in the red because Abbott would have let the workers sink first, and then business and half u on here probably wouldnt have a job or house now! The economy needed stimulation and thats why we are doing better than most of the worlds economies now
