I read in this morning's paper that Cricket Australia would not have contested a potential Federal Court injunction to have the match moved to the WACA Ground, but the WACA Board decided against legal action in the interests of national unity.

You can bet your last dollar that if the positions had been reversed, the Victorians would have applied for an injunction. ie. provided they had a ground available.

Two days to go and the Warriors hopes are fading. The weather is supposed to be OK for the last two days so still plenty of overs left.

WA need to make significant inroads in the first session tomorrow and bowl Victoria out for around the WA score. Then its a matter of getting a lead of around 200 as quickly as possible and get them back in on the last day. Its a long shot but JL will be pumping up the bowlers in the morning without doubt.

Of course it could also go the other way and Victoria could bat WA out of the game tommorrow and then put serious pressure on the Warriors via Ahmed on the last day but they might just as well lose the game as draw it... same result

Perfect day for the Warriors, taking 7 wickets and scoring over 200 runs. The Vic's played into their hands with defensive batting. I think they may roll the dice and declare overnight as they will need every over they can get to try and bowl Victoria out. If they can remove Rogers early, it will make things a lot easier as he could bat all day.

Vics need 289 to draw. We cant bat on unless we throw the bat at everything. Extra hours play today means we can go another 40 - 50 mins & make another 60 - 80 runs. Then have a normal day to get 10 wickets.

It was not the way that the SS season should have been played out, but that's the way that CA wanted it.It didn't matter where it was played, the Vics still only had to play for a draw and they did that.
I wonder how we the Warriors would have played with the boot on the other foot.

we probably would have played the same. That's how it is I suppose, you finish on top you get that advantage. You deserve that advantage. Been a good year for WA cricket regardless.
