Reminds me of a football final at Kardinia Park a few years back........

I am more surprised that some of you guys are shocked at this decision!
Much like their footballing cousins at the (A)VFL, CA are only concerned about the Eastern States and the $$$$ coming in from those more populous states.
The Vic's dont have a 1st class venue capable of hosting the Shield Final so instead of holding it in WA were there will at least be some interest both in the media & bums on seats with a team involved not to mention you will have 5 guaranteed days of cricket uninterrupted by rain, CA says lets hold it in frickin Tassie were at least 4 of the scheduled 5 days will have enough rain to force a draw and allow the Vics to claim the Shield for finishing on top!!
This is on top of last years Shield Final & this years Big Bash Final played in frickin Canberra & this years Matador Cup Final played in Sydney all of those games have involved WA with the latter 2 WA finishing on top of the ladder!!

the WACA CEO is a lighweight, she should have been onto this after the 2nd last game and asking what is the likely scenarios as everyone knew the SCG and MCG were not avaialble and the Junction Oval is not up to sratch.

What you don't realise is that the WACA has no ODI finals so its free to play on,

neither does Tassie, WACA admin should have been on to this last week.

Methinks that hey should have issued the Toddy ultimatum: the WACA or we send over our Under 19s team.

I am sure our players would prefer to play than sitting at home doing nothing..
the decision has been made, get on with the game.

Didn't the Vics get the option of where the game was played? So they chose Tassie, pretty smart move with the weather it brings & don't they only need a draw to win?

How is it possible that in the state that declares itself as the sporting capital of the world they only have access to 2 first class standard cricket grounds. Surely with the drop in pitches these days it can't be that hard. Why not NSW or Canberra then....the Tassie option has one agenda and most of you have pointed it out here.
