I was just reading something on a news website listing ten places which won't disappoint if you manage to get there. As it's a slow footy comment week on here I thought I'd start a new thread and if nothing else, posters might give us all some ideas on where to go next between footy seasons. For me in no particular order...

Yep...done a bit mate...only sorry I didn't do one of those travel blog things where I take photos of myself wearing a Subi jumper everywhere I go. As it would have it, I spent a bit of time in Key West freez...Hemmingway, Margaritaville, 90 miles from Cuba and all that stuff. Interesting place with no shortage of gays....not that there's anything wrong with that to quote Seinfeld.

went to Key West after doing Camp America back in 1990....BC....and the following year during US spring break......christ those were some crazy days.....don't know about the gays mate, but the American girls certainly were endeared and captivated by our Aussie twangs....the following year we did a 3 month road trip in 1992 from NYC - Florida - New Orleans - Las Vegas - LA fark it was a blast .......my eldest is 19 and planning to do Camp America this year.......geez I envy him big time......sad thing is with today's technology his mum wants him to do a daily blog.....I just laughed and said thank fark we had none of that techno shite in my day!

hahaha...good memories indeeed. my ex-wife's mother and step father live down there. the old boy was an ex-US nuclear submarine captain. he had a whopping big boat and went about organising a flotilla of other private boat owners to go down to Cuba against the express wishes of the US government. the old bugger did it anyway and got himself and all the others in the chit big time...they were treated like heroes when they got to Havana but copped it big time when they arrived back at Key West...those were the days

I'm obviously not as well travelled as you guys. I did my travelling around Oz as a younger man till the old girl got peed off and made me start booking os holidays.
