Reports so far state Hughes is in a critical condition, fingers crossed Phil Hughes makes a speedy recovery after his collapse post H.I today at the cricket.

Hit in the head with a bouncer.....never a good outcome. It looks bad too, there are whispers coming out of SCG that he had to be given mouth to mouth on the ground. They have abandoned the rest of the day at the SCG

Mouth to mouth and cpr for 40 minutes at the ground, stopped breathing several times. Thoughts & prayers.

This brings back horrible memories of the Luke Adams incident even though this was an on field accident. I hope Phil can recover to the same extent that Luke did. It will probably be a long haul for him but he has shown that he is a fighter through his cricketing career

its just been confirmed by CA that he passed away a short time ago. tragic news for a young man with so much to offer...RIP

Yes. The hospital had Hughes in an induced coma. Have just heard he has died a short time ago. Very sad indeed.
