As you have said previously in this post the Eagles and Dockers are run by the WAFL, guess who would have had the final say in where the Dockers went on Sunday?

But some facts for you to consider

Subi has far better facilities than Freo and im not talking about a couple of portable toilets. By going to Subi the players had access to a private function room where they could then go onto the balcony and speak with the supporters. No facilities at Freo to do that is there? The club rooms would collapse if there were 40 odd people on the balcony there.

By having the players in that private room the players were afforded the privacy they needed, the last thing they wanted was every snapper head in Perth telling them bad luck and you will get them next year. That might be a true fact but trust me when you have just lost a GF and put all that effort into your season thats the last thing you need.

Also with mulitiple exits at Subi players and admin staff were able to get in and out of the ground without getting mobbed by fans. Cant do that at Freo.

So based around the fact Subi has better viewing facilities than Freo, Subi has suitable function rooms where the players could spend time with fans but be afforded privacy and based on the fact that WAFC runs both the eagles and the dockers there is no issues with the decision to hold the family day at Subi.

Interestingly Geelong had a family day after their last game and it wasnt at skilled stadium, it was at another venue in Geelong. Not using your own ground for a family day is a common thing in the AFL.

Please do some further research into this topic before you bore us all further, Understand the facts of a decision before you critise it

Oh and FYI mate Im a hawks fan I have no interest in supporting Freo, but I have no issues with where the family day was based upon decent facts.

When geelong lost in 2008 it was at simmonds, as i think it was in 2011 when won. Hawks went back to Glenferrie oval (hardly state of the art) Family days and AFL days after the GF are different beasts anyway. Better viewing mt ass, a simple stage suffices on most occassions. Players are blocked off from the public anyway, they dont mingle with the supporters either. Poor excuses for a terribly badly marketed idea i reckon. Reckon the only got a few thousand at subi anyway, shows how successfull THAT idea was.

So UNKA2 please explain why you are being so disingenuous? Firstly, as was stated previously in this topic Geelong have not gone back to Kardinya Park in recent years. One would believe that logically they would have got a lot more if they had won the GF. The fact that they got a couple of thousand to go considering the weather and the fact that they lost is indication that the Freo supporter base had no problems withit being at Subi Oval.

As for Bazza Freo Oval cannot hold 40,000 people so perhaps you might like to mention another non sequitur.
