Zac Kirkup it is as Deano pulled out of the race cos he knew he didn't have the numbers. What's next for Dean Nalder? No doubt got a job lined up in the private sector I guess.

Isn't great to see that even in times like this the Worst editorial demeanor and direction hasn't changed - Firkup and grannies pool are the lead political stories in the worst and sundry times, does my heart good to see that at least the award winning media outlet is maintaining its standards

I normally stay out of politics on here Grump but you might be interested and probably not surprised to know that Kirkup's current flame is also a journalist/assistant editor at The West I believe!

BH is there a commandment in politics that says Thou shall not bonk unless approved by the parliamentary standards committee? Pollies are after all human and vulnerable to the same emotions as all of us, though we sometimes question their motives and priorities.

Like most of us we know little about Kirkup, he is young and articulate and appears to be looking to be a career pollie, but imho, he has made a major mistake by taking on the lib leadership at a time when they are a total basket case and likely to lose even more seats to the Mcgowan monster. He should have bided his time for at least one more election cycle and let that dead head Nalder take the beating. Nalder is going nowhere and has no future so would not be missed. At the end of labours next four years in power things may be very different and Kirkup could have made up some ground in 2025 and beyond, plus he will have another 4 years experience under his young belt.

Yes ...unless her surname is Stokes or DeCeglie I can't see it being an issue either.

What an absolute mess the state libs are, now Nalder has walked.

They deserve to get toweled up.
