yeah it's something Barnet tried desperately to stop towards the end of his reign, they stacked the local northern branches and got who they wanted in, so it's pushing the party way too far to the right, but with McGowan sitting centrally they have nowhere else to go.

I see another Barnett project is nearing completion last night, another one of McGowans non achievements that he will benefit from.

This time the rail link to the airport , opening 12/2021, had its problems but all huge projects do, think Kalgoorlie Pipeline...

I suppose the credit balance sheet is always an issue in politics, the libs did try with the desalination plant so it really doesn't matter much to the folk who think and pay attention to accomplishments.

in all fairness to all during this almost unprecedented time of our lifetime , the Liberal (and Nationals) won't stand any chance of taking the reins after this one is counted - and they should be in deep planning for the next election right now. and it is a decent opportunity to do so.

it's just that we have been protected from the virus to a monstrous extent due to the work of the incumbents and the resolute upkeeping of it in the faces of , and despite , the idiot dickhead Premier in NSW and her equally retarded Victorian counterpart almost ruining our country with their dereliction and corruptive conduct.

i'd have supported a one year suspension of the election to give all parties a much fairer shot to be perfectly honest and it could also be said this election may also reward the incumbents for saving our very lives in another respect

what a shitty time for an election

Just reading the Trump saga thread and it just shows how polarising politics can be, even more than WAFL support. At least in the WAFL we hate but admire the good players in the opposition but in politics your leaning means you despise the opposition and you are unlikely to give any credit to the achievements of the other side ( and yes I hate barnett with a passion which is only beaten by my contempt for the courts) but I do see the good stuff albeit begrudgingly,
