I read the story in a coffee shop this morning (I refuse to buy the trash rag or a subscription). Apparently Pickering was surprised at how good a condition Palmer is in given the extent of the injuries he had as a result of the accident that still was only about 9 months ago. He trained well though but he has still got a long way to go to even be considered a chance for a comeback. I think the odds are against it but good on him for giving it a go and I hope he proves me wrong.

Seems like we have picked up another East Perth player, Kane Hughes. Anyone know anything about him. The stats only say he's played Colts footy.

Anyone confirm that Mitch Howlett has left the club?

If he has gone (his name no longer appears on your Club Website Players list), that can only be a bonus for Swans.

And I'll pray with everything I've got that he doesn't try to come back to East Perth.

Kane was the colts captain last year, a reliable tall defender at that level. He is a good young man who could develop, needs a little bulk to compete against league level players, I suspect he saw that he would be pushing it against quite a few other defenders at the club, good luck to him!

Kane Hughes came through Noranda in East Perth’s zone.

Ethan and Logan Hughes are from Harvey Brunswick Leschenault which is now in Peel’s zone but I think they resided in Bunbury hence why we got them.

Someone mentioned that he may be the younger brother of former SD boys Ethan & Logan Hughes MOM, he may have moved to Perth and lived in Noranda after they came to Perth?
