At that 2010 Prelim Final at Basso there was over 15k inside the ground after they had to throw open the gates in the 1st qtr as there was still fans lined up all the way down Old Perth Rd & Guildford Rd to get in.
Unfortunately certainly in SD case we have been nowhere near that level since on the field which helps attract the fans although when we did play EP again in a 1st Semi Final in 2012 or 2013 at Basso there was another big finals crowd that day.

That's right there was another SD v EP final in 2013. EP were in the throes of signing up for the alignment with the Eagles and I recall Murray Newman played for EP that day. EP of course made the Grand Final when they were beaten by the Falcons

Dean is still showing on the Swans Website playing list. Nothing on East Perth's.

It was mentioned in a radio interview last week that Alby is currently training with EP OTO.

What ever happened to Ridley and the Daniel brothers?...lot of talk of their potential....injuries or lack of opportunity decide their fate....sad to hear about that young fella Eades has lost his way....did the hard yards away from home over east in a boarding school....got into the Vic C side and drafted....another talent lost to the game due to outside influences....not the first won't be the last sadly....could probably name a starting 18 of wannabes who lost their way.....

BH you game to have a crack at that... with your second to none knowledge of all things footy?

I wouldn't take any notice of the senior list of any team at the moment as they will be changing for a little while.east Perth's list is currently 60 so for dean to be on the list I suspect someone will have to come off.he might be training with the royals as I was told that more then 60 are training including 1 or two who have been dropped off the senior list.i only counted only 56 on the swans list and that includes dean and Ashley willcocks who I have been told may have gone back to east perth.

Thanks BH.

I was told on Christmas Day by a Swans supporter that the Daniels brothers were also headed to East Perth.

It seems that Chaddy is right. The lists on Club Websites mean little to nothing as most Clubs would probably also have supplementary lists and still have one or two cuts before they decide on their final lists.

Just saw this in the online West. Probably not unexpected

Rhys Palmer has called time on his WAFL career.
The former AFL rising star informed Swan Districts of his decision earlier in the week, citing work and other commitments.
The East Fremantle product, 31, played 123 AFL matches for Fremantle (53), Greater Western Sydney (69) and Carlton (one) before returning to the WAFL in 2018.

Palmer made 16 matches for the Swans in his debut season at the club before a sickening motorcycle accident last year that nearly claimed his life.
He had been training sporadically at Steel Blue Oval during the pre-season in the hope of returning to the field before making the call.
“Rhys is not going to continue playing, he let us know of his decision yesterday,” Swan Districts football manager Phil Smart said.
“He’s still keen to come down and help out around the club but he doesn’t have the time to commit to State-league football.
“He’s been great for us and he’s had a terrific career.”
Early indications are that Palmer won’t play at any level.

Bit of an COVIC influx with Anderson, Fisher, Costigan plus Palmer and Jones on board now at SD ....I see Lynch has been delisted from the WBD, definitely a talent who will provide SD with a lot of run if comes back to the club....

Fisher is actually an ACT boy.
I saw Lynch was delisted by Footscray hopefully he is interested in coming back to Basso where he got drafted from.
