Is it possibly a Freo development coach? Or West Coast??

Reading the article I reckon they are talking Woewodin...played in both and has considerable coaching experience. Can only wonder if North Freo would let him go. Surely the SD job wouldn't be paying more than a full time job and a coaching gig?

Logistically it may not be possible but I think the new board should actually appoint our coach for 2018. Perhaps the position will be clearer after today's finals.

.

Agree with you here swan42 although the big question is who exactly is on the selection committee...it's quite possible the board have very little to do with the selection except to approve the offer etc.

If it was Woewodin- he'd have been appointed already. Same with Malaxos, Armstrong, Cooper ect

Has to be Pickering or someone at WC or Freo.

Unless they haven't reached a decision

My understanding the sub-committee is Peter Hodyl, Andy Holmes and Peter Snow.

DW-- thanks for taking the trouble to write back so thoughtgully. I would be temptted to go for Malaxos, becsuse, not only is he experienced, but he also had a successful time at EF. He would have made two grand finals had he had a key forward and had his side not kicked 7.26 against Subi. Having said all that, I think Pickering or Cooper would do a good job, as they would would have knowledge of modern coaches techniques. Armstrong has had a bit of coachaing experience at SD and Subi and also has a marketable name which could be an asset.

I guess it depends a bit on how well people do in their interviews?
Any more rumours about Monaghan?

It's down to two. Malaxos & Woewodin are out of the running.
