What would you expect Mike from football journalists who are all AFL sycophants.

The article was a disgrace and reflected poorly on the journalist and the West.

Mikeh- people shouldn't expect too much from the worst australian.
Many of their writers wouldn't know nor have any Wafl experience.
The supposedly state newspaper is nothing more than a bloody disgrace!

What a pity it wasn't John Townsend who wrote the article ...

He seems to be one of the only stand alone Journos at this time at the West - even though I believe he supports the EP club he still would have given a PROPER account of the game and rewarded SWANS players

I don't know who this Dale Miller goose but I've read some of his one sided reports previously
Obviously on the Eagles payroll me thinks????

Mikeh you might like to check the definition of a troll. Stating facts on current subjects raised by others is anything but. As for your comment re elite group you can stop wondering as I don't know anything about it.

Swan42, do your research and you will discover Swans have received a tremendous amount of assistance from the ATO and the WAFC in recent years to keep the club going. Just as a matter of interest 5 of the 9 clubs held talks re aligning with the WA AFL sides. Can you name the other 3?

Growler, pretty sure JT is a Tigers man, he is far from perfect but at least he does not bow and scrape to the AFL teams to the same extent as most of the others.

By the way I have been watching Subi play at Basso for over 40 years and never had a problem, the Duckheads are always up for some earnest banter, occasionally goes close to the edge but nothing ever gets serious, just a bunch of passionate WAFL people like most of us. Unfortunately Larry is copping the collateral damage from his clubs decisions to do what they did, we all know it's not his fault personally but it's such an emotional subject for most WAFL people and imho LB is a passionate WAFL person who has been forced to make a choice of walking away from the game he obviously loves with a passion or just taking the attitude of following the jumper despite who has hijacked it. I don't envy having to make that choice and we should all pull back a bit and respect the mans decision to stay true to his colours under any circumstances.

I can't recall going to a game at Bassendean that I haven't seen people swearing at one another or some verbal intimidation. Pleased to say not the same racial vilification that you experience at Joondalup and Lathlain. I think Swans having a large indigenous playing group and supporters is a very good thing for the area.

Mikeh - your entitled to your view however I very much doubt that the everyday person in the street would interpret responding to a derogatory comment from a repeat offender with some facts to be classified as trolling. The word "fool" could have been omitted or substituted but given 42's form/history it seemed appropriate.
